Freddie excellent instruction and having had the pleasure of watching your strike first hand I struggle to understand why you don’t have more followers
I have been using the sternum just on the front side of the wedge, gap, p & 9 iron with pretty good reliable results. Still working on the mid irons and hybrids. Oddly, the driver with the speed before the ball works also. I think it’s because I have more time during the swing.
Niiiice ....Keep trying the concept through the bag ...will be easier with wedges to start with as the body is less likely to jump around as less effort is exerted :)
I've stumbled across the concept through coaching day to day :) Just seemed to work so easily for most people ...Just need a 3 part concept like Dan Grieve haha
@@Mnkpila Might vary from person to person ....if there's any bend in the left arm during impact, it'll change I'd say sternum is the best way to manipulate strike and low point from where it is ...to a better place
Not any time soon I don't think! I don't have access to Taylormade... However... If one of my regular tinkerers comes in with one, I'll ask nicely and see if I can get a video out that way :) Not big enough to get sent freebies yet and the turnover on a video like that will be about £40 which doesn't quite cover the cost of buying one hehe.. I stock Srixon, Cleveland and Callaway, I have a PXG account so I can order that as well ...Some regulars like seeing their toys on TH-cam
You know what...I've not even thought about it in a bunker! ...I'd say behind would be better for a shallower angle of attack ...digging down isn't always good I've stumbled on the idea over time and gradually perfecting it in to a deliverable package :)
@FredzGolf it's amazing how this simple idea brings the entire swing together. Getting through the ball so much better with every club and much less swing thoughts about "pressure shift". Thanks
It does ...further forward with a 4 iron will make it easier to get the sternum in place Can use ball position to hit higher and lower and then get sternum in place to get better striking I'll do a little series on this next 😁
Bit confused.. so does this sternum angle not work with irons 5-8? Sounds like you’re saying to just keep the sternum in the middle with these clubs, reducing your ability to shape the ball. Be great to clarify this. Cheers

@hakanahmet2491 Aha ... I've replied twice and its not sent for some reason 🤭 There's a bit of variance for each golfer depending on what the vad shot is, or what the good shot wants to be.... this is a guide to start with Above the 8 iron (7i to 3w say) you need to be shallower / not as steep, so right side of the cover to achieve that easier Shaping the ball is here th-cam.com/video/OjznqvvuFOo/w-d-xo.html
I like these vids, makes total sense , no waffle ( like many on you tube do 😴😴😴)... straight to the point , crisp, clear explanation.... perfect 👍
Thank you for saying so ...much appreciated!
Great insight, and after our conversations at your shop I have started focusing on this more and can see the results.
Niiiiice ...It's good knowledge to have and easy to use in ball flight changes or corrections!!
New to the channel and loving the content. Now going through all the videos Very enjoyable. Thank you, Freddie. What a very nice chap you are.
Welcome aboard! Thank you for saying so :)
Love your channel Freddie keep up the good work
Thank you mate ...tell your friends hehe

All in good time :) this is the start of it ...there'll be books and all sorts

Very well explained Freddie
Thank you kindly! Just need to write a book like Dan Grieve :) Sternum Speed and Balance ...Title trio needs work ha
You just make it sound so .................................................... obvious!
Really glad I found your channel.
Thank You! Tell your friends ay :)
Awesome instruction. Ty.
Glad it was helpful!
Can’t wait to time this out with the irons and the driver
Let me know how it goes!!
You da man Fred 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Cheers dood ... really good feedback on the sternum idea! Need to write a book like Dan Grieve did on the 3 releases haha
Class mate. "In character, in manners, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity" Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Where's the Harvard reference? come on man :P
Great stuff Freddie 🙏👌
Thank you... share with your friends eh :)
Oh, this could help me enormously. Haven't heard this anywhere else.

Certainly helped me rip my irons today in the studio!!
Yes mate! You are defo not an 8 handicapper ...actually you'd be good in a Pro Am off that handicap!!
Its a great thing your doing .👍
I think I've found my niche haha
Good stuff. Question for you: where is the low point (mechanically)? Is it below the sternum or lead shoulder? Neither?

Would sterum still be to the left of the ball for bunker shots?

Hi, what about the fairway woods off the turf ? Same as hybrid/long irons ?
When the ball is on the floor, stay close to the ball cover ...but yes much like the long iron / hybrid

does the ball position varies from pw-4i?

I need to book another session as soon as I can find a reason to be in MK
A golf lesson could be the reason hahah
Very good, im struggling with swaying, gotta stop it, or maybe just a little
Practice swings... feet together and commit to speed
@@FredzGolf thanks! i think i can fix it, gotta give some effort to it and try this!
@anttisavolainen547 experiment with it a bit ay 😁
