Double press the door lock button on the dash to enable auto-lock. Be aware it also locks your petrol cap so you'll need to unlock that to refuel.

OK, Found out you need to turn the ignition on and hold the lock button for 5 seconds until you get a beep.
Auto lock kicks on at 10 MPH.

    Good video, great car.
The hatch on your car is an option. It's there for weight reduction and, for many, as a cosmetic enhancement. It's not inexpensive so most of the cars shipped here get the standard glass rear hatch. Yours got the boutique treatment, mines got glass. I think I prefer glass for the street too but the CF unit is beautiful. You're right. Doug DeMuro would give it a three for features but when you own one of these, you realize you don't care if the windows don't go up one touch. I think it has everything you really need and nothing you don't. If you buy a Carrera T you're going to get manual seats too. Doesn't matter. You can drive it for hundreds of miles on end and you don't get tired, your back doesn't hurt, you're cool and relaxed and you get there before everybody else.

It seems like you would have been happier with a 911. You don’t buy a Lotus for the little niceties. You buy it for the handling. IMO

Unbelievably gorgeous color. The Toyota engine is an asset... even if it breaks (which it will not), you never have to worry about spares! The Alpine stereo is also an asset... you can update that with the latest technology at any given time vs 'built in' stereo which are obsolete in a few years. But yes, the carbon fiber back with the holes and the hood holes (uncleanable) would drive my OCD crazy. Is there a glovebox?

If you read the manual, you will see how to put the self lock on.

You mind sharing where you got the backup rear view camera? I just got an Evora 400 17’ I would have loved the carbon back that come on the 18s. If I had purple I would have swapped the glass back with you immediately. I also love your carbon roof! 2 features I’m going to add via aftermarket soon.

Hi, I got it on Amazon.
      www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D8ZNP37/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I wish it would turn off when the car is off like the radio but maybe it was installed wrong. This is a good camera but this is the only one I have ever used. I also ordered carbon fiber steering wheel but its been 3 months and still has not shipped.

Day one and you make this video? Why did you buy it? Did you buy unseen or something?

I came to the video and was wondering why so many down votes..then I watched it lol..maybe u should retitle the video ? "1st day of owner ship ,and things I .dont like about my evora 400 " ? congrats either way but the tone of the video makes it seem like u should return it lol

@@itscard0man hi, not to say things I don't like about the evora but really things that are missing that other reviews don't talk about. Maybe a better title?

it’s a very small production car that wasn’t made for the general public. It’s not made for folks who want a Porsche or a jag. It’s for those who want don’t on g different and love driving. Yes ur right they could have done a few things better but with the pocket change developmental budget vs Porsche who has VW backing everything it’s no wonder.

I want to purchase this car pretty bad but the only thing stopping me is the issue of finding some one to repair them if they break. Is this any concern for you ?

Hi man. I let my car in garage without problem almost for a month without problem to start the car, so If you have standard, not the Lithium racing light battery, this shouldn't be a problem. And the engine cover have this open grid for a reason. Since it's originaly for 410 and other higher model, it's open to dissipates the heat from engine faster, so the engine is easily cooled. I change on mine from the normal glass 400 to this carbon 410 engine cover and it's a HUUUGE different. Engine cold down with this one lightspeed compare to the glass

I had my battery off the charger for a week and I tired to drive the car and the batter was dead. I had to jump start the car and then a yellow light turned on. :( The light did turn off and has not came back on. Maybe each car is different but I was told by Lotus headquarters before I bought the car they know of a batter drain.
I was told two weeks but found out for me its 1 week.
