hi i have a alto sax selmer usa omega 162 i wanted to know something about this sax ... i wanted to know if it is a professional sax and excellent quality, the difference of the french one.Thank you
Hi Carlo. Serial numbers 820000 till around 8235000 it was being marketed as a professional sax. Then it was being marketed as a intermediate sax which was named as100 for the alto and ts100 for the tenor(that serial range went up to 829000)--it is the same sax just marketed different. The Selmer USA's have a bigger more aggressive sound than the French Selmers. The qualty is great--it's built like a tank. What i like about it it has the Selmer core sound that Selmer professional saxes are noted for. Have a great day.
No problem. It was being marketed as an intermediate horn but it's identical to the earlier models in sound, feel and action. It's a Great Horn. I wouldn't get rid of it.
@@charlei76 Very similiar in sound to a Mark VI. I used to play a Mark VI but I like the Selmer USA sax more(it has a bigger sound). You have a great sax--enjoy it! Have a great day!
You made me love this song 🎵 even more.
Thanks!
