Watch as the Gianni Romme cruises to victory and the Olympic gold medal in the speed skating event at the Nagano 1998 Winter Olympic Games.
Out of all the sports in the Olympic programme, in both Summer and Winter Games, Speed Skating is the discipline which has given the Netherlands the most medals in the history of the Olympic Games.
At the Nagano 1998 Winter Games, it was also through Speed Skating that the Dutch won their first medal when Gianni Romme won the Men's 5,000 metres competition. Romme not only won the event, but also broke the Olympic record by over 6 seconds.
Fellow Dutchman Rintje Ritsma won silver, while Olympic silver medallist in the 10,000m from the Lillehammer 1994 Games, Bart Veldkamp took bronze, competing for Belgium.

Magdelena is moving to Austria...I already picked Luc Besson for France ( he is easy slam dunk I never met anyone more committed to his country..his experience in French Intelligence is superb.....Gerald Butler the most famous litagator and brillant legal and creative talent for Scotland...and Mr. Dermot Mulroney for love of Ireland...there are so many men I really like in this category it is hard for me to decide but I have been told his heart and effort are really upfront..it is not like I am choosing actors but creative well spoken orators with diverse resumes and interests ..most of all Love and devotion to Nation and her People...
