Join ANS Member Michael Markowitz for a merry numismatic tour through the works of William Shakespeare. From drachmas to ducats to sixpence, Shakespeare used coins as a device to relate to Elizabethan audiences. Markowitz will reference coins mentioned in the plays, tell us about when and why they were minted, and offer context for the modern audience.
