- B52s members Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson remember their dear friend Jeremy Ayers at the Morton Theatre in Athens, GA. They read a note from Keith Strickland and perform the early B52s song "52 Girls" which Jeremy wrote with Ricky Wilson.

The day these two ladies met and sang together for the first time, a dream of harmony was born. Together they produce such wonderful and satisfying harmonics. I guess it was musical fate that brought them together, because I haven't heard such a particular, peculiar, tight and identifiable sound from any other singing duo.

They match vibrato and legato and sing lots of unison...its why they sound so unique. That and their matching of vocal timbre. Always impressed.

Not easy, a very complex arrangement.
That's what still gets me about so many of their songs - simple chords, structures and rhythms with the most complex, imaginative and beautiful arrangements.
