    I loved Lewis Grizzard. Didn't read much of his newspaper articles but highly enjoyed his standup routines. He was a Southern Gentleman. Nice ride that 136. Ride safe.

      I always keep my motorcycles and cars and trucks in like new condition. I guess I inherited that from my Dad but I love driving and riding shiny new looking vehicles. My wife calls me Felix sometimes. Ha!

    I stumbled across this video this morning, good video! I live in Gordon county and ride burnt mt often. Way back in 1974 I rode across on a 1970 cb 450. At the look off, if you look just to the right of sharp top, you can see the sky scrapers in Atlanta and to the left you can see stone mountain. If it's clear, clouds and hase interferes with the view. It's still one of my favorite rides.
    Thanks for the blog!

    The humidity sure is thick down there. I was visiting my uncle in Florida a few years back and it was 101 F and super humid. I saw the guy on the news and what are the odds of being hit by lightning when riding a motorcycle. What’s sad is the seven riders that were killed in NH yesterday. Ride safe bro.

      Viper6 I just read about the bikers in New Hampshire who were killed. Looks like truck was going wrong way in wrong lane and it was probably head on. Very sad. I was in New Hampshire last summer and it’s so beautiful there.

    Agreed another great scenic ride & share...Thank you. Concerning the motorcyclist hit by lighting Yes that was quite a tragedy it was on our local news for a few days. Concerning Stoney's comment there was a motorcycle officer that was hit in the helmet by lightening about 4 or 5 years back and he did survive. One of the local stations did a follow up story on him, I just caught the end of it. But it appeared any injuries he had were not permanent.... Very Lucky.. I guess it was not his time. But around hear if storms start rolling in its always a good idea to seek shelter and wait them out. Just way to much lightening with our thunder storms. Just curious what type of long sleeve shirt were you wearing in the video, was it a certain type riding shirt? Thanks Again and keep on riding & vlogging safely.

    • @GARamblinMan
      @GARamblinMan  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ric - the shirt I had on was one I bought at an Indian dealer that’s a moisture wicking fabric that’s very lightweight and comfortable in hot weather. It also had loops in the sleeves you can put your thumbs through and that keeps the sleeves tucked in your gloves. That keeps your arms protected from the sun. I should have had a jacket over it but it was just too hot.

    • @ricmiller484
      @ricmiller484 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, I will check out our Indian Dealer. I am always on the look out for Summer riding wear. I got in a 115 mile ride yesterday in Seminole & Volusia Counties. we started at 8:30 am but it was 94 and muggy when we finished at noon. I had some COOL R under gear on (from Cycle Gear) and a long sleeve hiking shirt, & Gloves but no jacket. All the Best to You!!

    I've enjoyed your videos. Those winding roads are beautiful, but one thing that scares me is the possibility of deer strikes. Wondering if you or others have any suggestions about that risk? About the best I've come up with is avoiding early morning and evening times, as well as higher risk times of year, such as now (October) and April. But it's a danger that shakes me up because the deer population is exploding, and if they dart out in front of (or into you), there's little chance.

    • @GARamblinMan
      @GARamblinMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve had deer run across the road in front of me a couple times. But they were far enough ahead I was ok. That is one reason I don’t ride these country roads at night.
