Talk about suicidal bars!! Both MC’s did one helluva job of speaking from the mind of an ISIS member then tying it to the complex bars they have shown throughout this song. Joyner and Logic had a beef for years and when they settled, they did this song. Thats why Logis said : whats Beef? When enough time past then you blast(this collaboration)

5am by logic will forever be one of my favorite songs. I saw him in a tiny venue back in 2015 before he blew up and even then the entire venue was over flowing into the lobby.
This song is straight fire, i remember when this came out i was so hyped as a fan of both joyner and logic and i come back to it every couple months, one of the best raps songs to come out in the last 5 years

What makes this collab even better is that they were both on a song with Tech N9ne called Sriracha and logic wasn't able to take his time with his verse because he was touring and he finally done it within a week of the deadline and it was trash, joyner clowned on him for a few years for it and then they squashed it and released this

So the beef line has a double meaning. Prior to this, they were actually beefing. Its was over a lazy verse from logic that was on there shared track with Tech9. Logic is also taking shots at Joyner in this verse aswell but it gets over looked. (8:54)

man you need to do a deep dive into logic. Under Pressure and The Incredible True Story are his greatest albums for sure, pick any song off them and its a hit. Got plenty of old EPs and albums from WAY back in the day with CLASSIC samples that you guys would be able to pick out instantly and he KILLS them, truthfully worth the listens

They beefed and this was a big deal when they made a song together Joyner is good at story telling and logic is good at flow and wordplay. Some hate Joyner saying he doesn’t live as gangster as he talks which is I feel a dumb reason to hate his music. And logic gets hate for talking a lot about his experience about being half white half black in dangerous neighborhoods in chicago. He has fun wordplay songs and others are introspective or talking on the game. For logic I recommend 44 bars and Joyner I recommend snitch.
