Hi tks u help me out so much ur video made take my time with my 12 gauge single shot that my dad just passed down to me it was in bad shape well I thought it was in bad shape because just needed a little tender loving care take it apart all the down and it shoots like a champ now thank you guys all the way from down here in Texas be safe stay blessed
My dad bought one exactly like that new in 1962 for 50dollars and it still going to this day I started using it when I was 11yrs old they're very good guns
I know m way late but the lady said that the old stevens was a throw away gun ..that is true but throw away quality back then was still high quality and certainly of a higher quality than anything coming from over seas these days I just uploaded the first of my stevens model 94 restoration video series today
@@robertboreman7672 I call the stevens shorty's throwaway guns because of the cheap stainless receiver and barrel btw my stevens restoration is now complete and all episodes are uploaded
I have this same weapon. Do you have a detailed video on how to disassemble and install all the pieces again because I opened it and I do not know how to put the pieces together again
hello, hopefully you can help me, i have a Savage/Stevens 94c 12 gauge receiver, on auction right now is a STEVEN'S 94B .410 parts kit without receiver, would you happen to know if I can just add the barrel and stocks to the receiver I have, and itll work?? I don't really see the difference, it's a single fire rifle, so no recoil springs.. etc.. and the 13+2 if different parts.. should be beefier anyway.. my thoughts anyhow, don't want to miss out if theyll work thanks, both are older, with half moon cut out, forearm grip has screw.., thanks
I have a Stevens model 94B with plastic furniture. Seems to have a wood block loose inside the hollow buttstock. Any idea if the gun is safe to shoot? The block just slides around, but otherwise the buttstock seems securely attached to the shotgun.
I picked up an old wards western field model 10. From what I've read it's the exact same thing as your Stevens. Any idea where I can get a stock and hand guard?
Use some standard gun oil, and a pre-1982 penny as a "light" scrubbing mechanism. I say "pre-1982" because in early 1982, they started using zinc in pennies. You'll need the copper to properly, chemically react. *Scrub lightly.
@@joegreen5714 just saw a product tonight that really impressed me...Its called Metal Rescue and appeared to remove rust well and no scrubbing ...just soaking time. Check it out. I know you asked a year ago but thought I would still let you know.
I have an old Iver Johnson that I got at a flea market for $20 it shot alright but t9 break open and cock the hàmmer it took a lot of work and muscle to do so so after test firing I gone homeand found out why who ever had it before did not clean the cosmlene from the factory and just kept adding oil to it so after taking it apart the whole inside was all gumed up with the stuffcleaning it out I had found the in sides to be all most perfect put it back together I had a almost brand new 12GA just hàd to redo the out side
They were a bad design. Cheap and cheerful. Bad wood with a week spring holding the fore end to the barrel. There no plastic which was good. They were very straight in the stock.
All that varnish on the steel preserved it from rust, that is a plus in my book.
Great video guys!! I absolutely love an old single shot with history behind it.
+NotSoTacticalGuy Thank you, were hoping to get a few more project guns in and do some more overhaul/ restores down the road.

I have 2 311's I don't think of them as throwaway guns. I rebuilt both of them.

Thank you I think you’re video helped me a ton!
Good job ,but would have opted for a french oil finish on wood and blued receiver.
The ultimate bullet group The recoil also
The same as the Revelation model 350 series K, which was sold by Western Auto.

Just inherited one of these and it has a good bit of patina on it. You can't see the case hardening anymore. How can I get all of the rust off of it?

I have a 94c that's been passed down. It has a missing trigger guard and I'm having a hard time finding the right one for it.
Mine has an old screen door handle soldered on it lol. Looks better than the original actually.
Try numrich gun parts sales Has a lot of parts for these old guns.
