Thanks for posting Tymon. I got the CD in the mail the other day and have to listened to it twice and already know its goes into my top ten all time albums.The musicianship is outstanding, Support this band and BUY the cd from them.
@TymonExivious What a pleasure to not only hear but see this song. I believe you have developed a really unique style, which I find easy to recognize. Pretty much like with many other guitarists with a unique sound and "fretting" like Marty Friedman (and the hair has nothing to do!!) :D Thank you for writing these amazing art. Cheers from Argentina. Mauricio
@thebastards Yep all Axe-FX. I pretty much exclusively use the Euro red model for all high gain stuff, including my lead sound. I use RedWirez impulses (Marshall 1960 4x12), some subtle verbs, lush delays and a touch of compression.
I see Exivious is a underrated band but not as 2 years ago, your´re gaining more fans across the ocean such as México. I love your music and I hope to see you soon around here! You have your fans in Latin America! Wish you the best! :D ¡Gracias por su apreciable música! Los esfuerzos dan frutos.
Thank you so much for this. I, and many others would appreciate if you found time for other songs too! This is an excellent tool for us guitarists and beats a tab book any day of the week. I learned time and it's changes and I need to check if i'm right! :) :) :)
@SpartanLaserCanon The swelly clean sound? It's basically an envelope follower that controls a virtual volume pedal. Meaning when I hit a chord it slowly raises the volume from zero to maximum. After that is a basic Fender like clean sound and a ton of delay and reverb.
i always loved the ending passage to this song. it's like seeing familiar faces on your way to heaven. p.s. nice steinberger dude! just got my L2 bass, love it :)
@SpartanLaserCanon It sounds like a volume pedal to get rid of the initial attack and then some delay/reverb to sustain it past the mutes. Could be wrong though.
Very nice stuff. The video will make tabbing so much easier. Thanks a ton! Is there a chance you could upload some of the other songs off the album? Also, if it's not too much of a bother could you detail your guitar rig that you used in the video? Cheers and keep it up!
From 1:33 the bass is a bitter low...! I love this timbre of Bass, ehehe! =) I liked the solo from 4:05! There are some differences that is cool! Congratulations, man! I'm a big, so big fan from Brazil! |m/
@DanseMacabreMetal Thanks! I might do some other songs later, takes some time to edit though, time I rather spend on writing new stuff. My guitar setup is: Steinberger GM-4S into Fractal Audio Axe-FX. Easy! :)
Tymon, your moods "clear" haunt me, your tempo change all the time, it is difficult to stomp yet all this music fuckin groooooove !!!, how you doing? also awesome solo at the end, To me, you are living gods! cheers from france!
Thank you, I do appreciate it but trust me, there's many guitarists out there who play circles around me. But what are you gonna do, just be yourself and try and make some good music I guess :)
@ignacioffm Depends per sound and song. For this video everything is pure Axe-FX (incl compression, delay, verb, etc). Good luck with the record, Axe-FX will be awesome for it.
Thank you for putting this up! It helps a lot with figuring out how some parts of the song go that are harder to figure out. :D I'm assuming you improvised over the solo sections too? It sounded awesome! :D
Turn off the camera effects, I am trying to tab it! Kidding - maybe. Awesome stuff. The album has been my companion through all the strange, familiar, happy, unhappy, bored, inspired times of my life in the years since it came out and it has lost no impact while many others have had only fleeting meaning or had only shallow things to say. The music is both in the moment and transcends it. In short, thanks! Really looking forward to the new stuff.
Hi Tymon, I love your tone and effects, but I was wondering if you only use your Axe-Fx for them or if you have something else. Saludos desde México :)
@TymonExivious whats that pick ups? ( SA)it sounds like apassive one.. i have both actives and i hate that sound for soloing any suggestion? EXCELLENT PLAYING MAN
@TymonExivious Excuse me for sounding ignorant, but are there any tonal advantages to a headless guitar? I mean, with the tuners being behind the pickups and the strings terminating at the end opposite end of the fretboard, I feel like it may have a smoother sound to it.
@TymonExivious Hey Tymon what do you think about the R-Trem? would you suggest getting one of those? I nkow, you play the Strem but maybe u can tell the difference.
@TheBlackFlux Tabs are great, and I must say I am super surprised Tymon is taking the time to make some, which is awesome. However I have to say that considering there is a video of him playing it you'd get so much more out of the song if you learnt it by ear/sight. I can't tell you how much better my playing got when I stopped reading sheet music.
@TymonExivious in the recording, do you use the reverbs and mod of the axe fx or of postproduction plugins fx ? plz listen my band naioth the record is bad, but the band are thinking record the album with the axe fx and a apogee duet. greetings from chile Ignacio figueroa
I was thinking this was the best cover in recent days that have so authentic technique and beautiful tone, even the guitar is a headless one as the original player.. and then I got dumb
That was just to cover up the poor quality of the cameras used haha. I'll do some new videos soon with better equipment. And I won't ruin the footage with cheesy effects ;)
My understanding is they have excellent mid detail and perhaps not the most bass - that's ok, for my music the low end is not as important as the mids and highs. ( although still important! ) Thank you for your response.
Oh I haven't really been updated with your music I guess Haha. What's your new.album called and when do you think it would be out? And do you have any other albums from the one this song is from?
Why don't you guys make any more music? you were one of my favorite bands and you were extremely unique. The only bands I can think of that were like you are Guthrie Govan, or the Aristocrats
Amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I watch this every morning as a precaution, just in case nothing better happens to me the whole day. Tymon, you make me start my day with a smile :)
Absolutely stunning performance. You have seriously good technique and your soloing is top knotch. Why can't pop music be like this?!
Thanks for posting Tymon. I got the CD in the mail the other day and have to listened to it twice and already know its goes into my top ten all time albums.The musicianship is outstanding, Support this band and BUY the cd from them.
Wooooooooooooooooow this is going to be so helpful. Thanks Tymon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reminds me of Cynic s Focus and Spiral Arhitect. I like very much this kind of intrumental.I ll check now on Exivious! Tx for this good music!
Absolutely amazing definitely one of my favorite guitar players
i love this song! this was so much fun to watch! thanks for putting it up, tymon!
@TymonExivious

The extra touches were magnificent man
Amazing! Can't wait to hear more new stuff from you and Exivious :)

This is like, An Endless Sporadic on expert mode... blown away! :)
Amazing! 😊
@thebastards Yep all Axe-FX. I pretty much exclusively use the Euro red model for all high gain stuff, including my lead sound. I use RedWirez impulses (Marshall 1960 4x12), some subtle verbs, lush delays and a touch of compression.
Really amazing!!!!!!
Yes! My favorite Exivious song. Love the alternate solos too. Improvised? And the tone is wonderful, hard to believe your setup is that simple.
I see Exivious is a underrated band but not as 2 years ago, your´re gaining more fans across the ocean such as México. I love your music and I hope to see you soon around here! You have your fans in Latin America!
Wish you the best! :D

Fantastic sound! When will you come to Portugal and Spain?
This is excellent, wish you all the best :-)
We want more music from exovious !!! Nice band !
Very good song!
Eres la mera hostia! De los mejores guitarristas del mundo!
@ignacioffm
Thanks, it's EMG pickups (85 / SA / SA). They're 18 volt modded though.
@SpartanLaserCanon The swelly clean sound? It's basically an envelope follower that controls a virtual volume pedal. Meaning when I hit a chord it slowly raises the volume from zero to maximum. After that is a basic Fender like clean sound and a ton of delay and reverb.
A little. And we'd love to come there, first chance we get we're there!
Got em! Love 'em!
( Tannoys - exact same model as yours! )
man! we want a new album haha ! take care !
i always loved the ending passage to this song. it's like seeing familiar faces on your way to heaven. p.s. nice steinberger dude! just got my L2 bass, love it :)
nice slick playing style!
@SpartanLaserCanon It sounds like a volume pedal to get rid of the initial attack and then some delay/reverb to sustain it past the mutes. Could be wrong though.
Great! i want more videos!!
:-)
Brilliant
We're working on a tab book for guitars and bass. But it doesn't exactly have high priority, so not sure when we'll finally have something to release.
Are tabs available now?
Good job Tymon!
Darn, I thought you were gonna play the original solos. :P I love them. Can't wait to see Exivious live one day!!
Very nice stuff. The video will make tabbing so much easier. Thanks a ton! Is there a chance you could upload some of the other songs off the album?
Also, if it's not too much of a bother could you detail your guitar rig that you used in the video?

this is awesome, are you going to do anymore songs?
such interesting chord voicings!
From 1:33 the bass is a bitter low...! I love this timbre of Bass, ehehe! =) I liked the solo from 4:05! There are some differences that is cool! Congratulations, man! I'm a big, so big fan from Brazil! |m/
Tuning pegs are at the other end, kind of like the fine tuners of a Floyd bridge. We're tuned to E standard.
Tymon is the pinnacle
@DanseMacabreMetal

My guitar setup is: Steinberger GM-4S into Fractal Audio Axe-FX. Easy! :)
amazeus
Tymon,
your moods "clear" haunt me,
your tempo change all the time, it is difficult to stomp yet all this music fuckin groooooove !!!, how you doing?

I think I like what you did with the leads here better than the original. Which is no slouch by any means. Thanks for sharing this!

Seconded! That would be amazing!
Thank you, I do appreciate it but trust me, there's many guitarists out there who play circles around me. But what are you gonna do, just be yourself and try and make some good music I guess :)
Tymon... 9 years ago and still blow my mind... one of my favorites ever.
@Doppelganger1910 Not at the moment, I should get back at giving some lessons through Skype, why not! Hope to get to play Mexico sooner than later.
@ignacioffm
Depends per sound and song. For this video everything is pure Axe-FX (incl compression, delay, verb, etc). Good luck with the record, Axe-FX will be awesome for it.
YOU SHOULD TOUR WITH "SCALE THE SUMMIT" OR "ANIMALS AS LEADERS"
@TymonExivious Let us know when you have the tabs ready.
very nice. i might have to learn this as well. i noticed you use a bean sack as a chair. does it provide the comfort we all seek?
Thank you for putting this up! It helps a lot with figuring out how some parts of the song go that are harder to figure out. :D I'm assuming you improvised over the solo sections too? It sounded awesome! :D
@TymonExivious
Sounds fantastic! Have you ever used the 81 / SA / SA setup in any of your Steinbergers, or in any other guitar for that matter?
Turn off the camera effects, I am trying to tab it!
Kidding - maybe. Awesome stuff. The album has been my companion through all the strange, familiar, happy, unhappy, bored, inspired times of my life in the years since it came out and it has lost no impact while many others have had only fleeting meaning or had only shallow things to say. If I would have known that, I would have talked to in spanish when you were in Ft. Lauderdale at the Culture room with Cynic haha :D
@ignacioffm
Yeah it was!
Hi Tymon, I love your tone and effects, but I was wondering if you only use your Axe-Fx for them or if you have something else.

@TymonExivious Hey Tymon what do you think about the R-Trem? would you suggest getting one of those? I nkow, you play the Strem but maybe u can tell the difference.
@ignacioffm sounds great, very organic , which pickups did you use?
@TheBlackFlux Tabs are great, and I must say I am super surprised Tymon is taking the time to make some, which is awesome. However I have to say that considering there is a video of him playing it you'd get so much more out of the song if you learnt it by ear/sight. What pickups in that beauty?
@TymonExivious in the recording, do you use the reverbs and mod of the axe fx or of postproduction plugins fx ?

So.. fluid.... hot damn.
I was thinking this was the best cover in recent days that have so authentic technique and beautiful tone, even the guitar is a headless one as the original player.. and then I got dumb

Your best bet is eBay and other 2nd hand places. I fully agree with you!
Hi Tymon! Ask Robin to record sth like that too :D It'd be awsome!
I was thinking about buying a Steinberger at one point. How much would a GM-4 like yours cost secondhand, and where could I find one?
I love the first few lines you play! All of them are great, but the ones starting at 30 seconds are just off the hook!
@TheBlackFlux Not yet, working on it.
@TymonExivious tocas muy chevere no se niega
We have a new album coming out really soon...
There's a very good tab for this song on Ultimate Guitar.
Why don't you guys make any more music? you were one of my favorite bands and you were extremely unique. The only bands I can think of that were like you are Guthrie Govan, or the Aristocrats
Hey Tymon! Huge fan. Are you sitting on a pilates ball?
Hey Tymon, hows the new album coming?
Where can I get a steinberger like that? I can't stand the other body shapes they have on the website
How do you like the Tannoy Reveals as a monitor? And do you have the 5's or the 6's?
