Why was there no democratic focus tree? White russia was literally a republic so why would they restor an absolute monarchy or go fascist? If anything, the fascist focus should be the option to surrender as white russia to the germans in operation barbarosa causing you to be turned into a fascist puppet state of the reich with the Western territory being subjugated by the reich, you could then choose to become a full on arian genocidal nightmare or become an authoritarian monarchy/fascist dictatorship. (like japan) then you could choose to say loyal to the axis and eventually be granted the western territories back after a series of sabotage making them a burden to hitler or you can betray them and if you're a fascist monarchy then you can just establish your own axis and subjugate europe in your 1800's like image. However if you are the arian genocidal
regime then you can become the superstate of Eurasia seen in George Orwell's 1984.(I bit of a meme but I think it would be a really cool/dark path to follow).

If it helps anyone, it seems that 9 inf 2 arty with CAS support absolutely destroys enemies. Set maybe 1 factory on trains, a couple on trucks, assign max trucks to your divisions and you basically won't have any supply issues. I did almost nothing to the infrastructure and I was totally fine. So just do superior firepower, cas doctrine, get good planes and get good artillery/infantry. Try to use spies if you can to break the enemy planning/entrenchment. Works amazingly well.

I tried waiting very long and taking all the Urals province, I tried rushing civil war before Soviets had large military, I tried conquering Poland and leaving all troops next to Germany - nothing worked. I'll try to do what you did and take provinces along the Transsiberian railway.

This tutorial helped out quite a bit, I followed the general focus path only picking up one more focus the womans movement because I needed more time to secure all of siberia I could. Let's see, first I made the capital Chita then moved straight towards Vladivostok then to the trans Siberian railway to the state I forget the name of then to effectively encircle everything east of the Urals then take as much as I can, stalin got to two states before I did but they were effectively encircled so it wasn't difficult to mop them up with the free cav divisions. Once the war started I used encircle and destroy tactics to remove their units moving further west and grabing supply hubs wrecking their army and eventually won and got all the break away states back into the fold which is where I left that game, and I didn't need to give up anything to do it

Thanks for the video! The Russian Civil War really was surprisingly fun to play, the way in which it rewards stretching your frontlines and aggressively taking cities and supply hubs. In my play-through Stalin took more of the far north before the civil war started but really it just turned out to be locking out Soviet manpower as they were out of supply. I did use the extra reinforcements from desertions to guard my border with Mongolia and Tannu Tuva because in one playthrough (ruined because I got a phone call and walked away from the computer without pausing) they did attack. I also kept some cavalry (after thinning out the template) around as rear-echelon troops to clean up the frontlines between the railroads.

It was long and hard to say the least as there were 3 fronts in beginning (a massive encirclment in size of land and units that took about 3 months to clean up).
It's been so long that Turkemistan, Georgia, Crimea, Karelia, Uzbekistan, Krygstan, Armenia, Dagistan, and Ukraine all declared independence and died (over time). Btw I'm not yet done.

The US should have had an option to use trucks instead of trains.

Bitt3er, I ave an idea. Play as any country with the possibility of being peaceful and just MAX OUT your economy and railways, build lots of trucks and just do normal stuff like big military but peaceful and greatest supply of all time.

Looks like there have been introduced some new features, but the AI hasn't been updated. Like they don't prioritize the defence of hubs. But thats no surprise....

Just played historical soviets to check the DLC out. The AI feels slightly better on the defensive side, prioritizing railways and everything pretty well. On the offensive, on the other hand, it's as dumb as a rock and had been slamming head first into my Dnieper wall for about a year until they ran out of Germans.

A sandbox game is hard to test with a QA team though. It's so big and intertwined...you can't test everything
