I was just going to add my own take on the same notion. When Brett suggested that Amazon might red-flag some books, I'm searching for the red flags!! Those are the ones I want for my children -- well, grandchildren now, but you know what I mean. It seems the days of "Through three cheese trees three free fleas flew" have passed.

FYI - His parents don't say he can't be a walrus. His mom is pressured into indulging him by social media. Johnny's not having too much fun being a walrus through most of the book, and his mom is eventually talked into taking him to live at that zoo. At the end of the day it's the zookeeper that sets everybody straight. It's a really fun book, but so many people are getting the plot and point wrong. 🙂

I got a copy for my 6yo. It came in today. I screened it like a responsible parent. And it's great! She's going to love it! I love it. Nothing degrading, demeaning, or nasty. Just a fun story with a good message.

This is my payback to Amazon for banning me from making reviews on their site because I dared to politely refute a BLM wokester who claimed the movie "Interstellar" wiped out the entire black population and therefore was a racist movie. I added pics from the film taken near the end of the story where there were at least four black aircraft personnel walking about in the hanger, including a black pilot and for that Amazon deleted every one of my reviews and banned me for life from writing further reviews. Truth seems to be a scary word for the Left these days.

Having a small son, I ordered this book to help him understand what is being forced down our throats. I have been forced to explain to him several times why an obviously male person is trying to pretend they are female. He has never asked, "is that a girl?". He asks me, "why is that man dressed like a girl?" He is not falling for it. At the tender age of 4, he knows what a boy is and what a girl is. We have livestock. He knows all male creatures he has cared for are born with a penis and testicles like him. He knows that females have a vagina and babies are born from that, unlike him. He does not know what sexual intercourse is. He has no idea what it means to be homosexual or hetrosexual. He just knows that boys' have penises and girls' have vaginas. I mean, I learned this in 1990 from kindergarten cop. It's that simple.

Those books that encourage gender identity/theology prey on gay youth also, by convincing them that their 'gender non-conformity' is evidence of them being the opposite sex. Which is both sexist and homophobic. The worst part about this is that after the ideology has hooked itself on them, parents and doctors step in to transition these kids. One simply can't become a sex or sexual orientation they aren't, all you doing is denying reality, which will set the child up for pain or confusion.

I purchased it and gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I didn’t see anything wrong with the book. I’m so glad I grew up in the time that being a tomboy just meant that you like boy things, instead of someone telling me that I really want to be a boy. I’m still a tomboy and I have a boyfriend and two daughters. I’m grateful I was able to have children. I hate banning anything, if you tell me you want to ban a book then I’m buying it.

Recently, the child in my life has started identifying as a walrus and uses wal/walru/walrus pronouns. It’s been impossible to find something that captures the lived experiences wal endures each day, but this book has done it. Wal has found another walrus identifying person (WIP) in Johnny, which really helps raise awareness of this growing, yet marginalized, community. Thank you, Daddy, for this impressive work.
If I knew that book was in a package, it would be the only package that doesn’t get thrown around in the back of by van.

I remember like 10 years back a bunch of people wanted a book called "The Ultimate Dead Baby Joke Book: Sick and Twisted Gross Out Humor for the Criminally Insane" removed. There were mass petitions and complaints, and Amazon absolutely refused to remove it. The cover features a realistic image of a toddler with eyes gouged out and an electrical cord in their mouth. It's still on Amazon today, and I just read a review on it praising Amazon for supporting free speech by keeping it on their site.

You are right. The way these people describe trauma isn't even definitive of what people go through when they are traumatized. They simply threw that word in.
Given the topic, if I had to draw a line in the sand between people who are actually affected by the gender issues of today, you would see more numbers of individuals who simply get their feelings hurt on one side. These people haven't gone through any significant trials or hardships. But then you would have a small minority of individuals who's lives have actually been impacted greatly by their choices. These people would be the result of individuals that have taken their beliefs too far and now desperately wish they hadn't. People that have suffered violence, bodily mutilation..and for what? Because they want to satisfy their self absorbed impulse rather than focusing effort and accountability into matters that are greater than themselves: family, community, charity, future generations etc.
Well what these people fail to realize is that our children are not these people they fight for, these "trauma victims". They are just children. They are the children that WE fight for.
I had pre-ordered mine a long time ago when Matt first announced it. It just showed up on Tuesday, April 26th, 2022. It's a GREAT kid's book. I highly recommend it to anyone with small kids. And even adults that need a dose of simple common sense.

Good on Matt Walsh for bringing some quality back into Amazon. I bought a 2 pack of the exact same flavor toothpaste, the second one tastes very different and it gives me tooth sensitivity. Their whole system is questionable and is gonna break if they continue like this.
