I completely agree. I live on the Mexican border. I found out some of the organizations down here that normally support the American homeless started using those funds on illegal aliens. I don’t trust any of them.
I disagree. I say give money to organizations you can actually see helping people like a food kitchen or a disaster relief group like UMCOR. I went down to their facility a few years ago helping check the relief supplies and there was also a group going out and doing repair work on several homes owned by local who were to old or sick to do the work themselves. You should be careful of who you give money to but some fo the groups actually put the money to good use.

They were expert witnesses on impeachment history, not fact witnesses. It wasn't their job, and would be improper, to introduce fact evidence. It's the same BS the GOP did with the actual fact witnesses, saying "which of you will conclude that Trump committed the crime of bribery" when it is the job of the judge (here, Congress) to make determinations of law and the job of the witnesses to supply facts which may support that conclusion (but not, themselves, conclude).
The GOP counts on laymen not understanding the roles of fact witnesses, expert witnesses, jury and judges in order to pretend that they're making a point. They're not.
Gaetz plays off the lack of nuance to a audience that lack nuance.
Speaking of nuance, he never questions the professors testimonies only their integrity.

Except these witnesses did in fact make the conclusion. All three of them vehemently asserted that trump should be impeached. They didn't provide a single word of testimony about the history of the impeachment process or what constitutes a high crime or misdemeanor. They cited not a single point of law or constitutional standard that could be used as precedent for the controversy at hand. These people were not there as expert witnesses. They were there to get put on the record saying they think trump should be impeached so the democrats now have three "legal scholars" to quote.
