Tintin is well known worldwide, and Steven Spielberg even made a movie about him not so long ago. I always forget that his name is pronounced differently in French vs. English.
Haaaa, you're right, I forgot about the movie ! It always surprises me that this kind of cultural objects are known out of France/Belgium, because it has popular references into it you know, even for us sometimes it can be full of cliches 🙈
Rest assured, many of us instantly compared the blonde student to Tintin when he first appeared. The character is pretty well-known here in the USA, too. 😉 But yeah, the Twice story was definitely the episode's highlight for me, especially since it shed some more light on the flaws of hero society. It's mainly those who are considered "good" or "normal" who are saved by heroes.... anyone who doesn't fit that perfect image of a model citizen gets swept under the rug and are basically forced to fend for themselves. And that, of course, just about inevitably leads them down a darker path.... it's quite a shame, really. 😔
Its important for Twice that he doesnt know if he is the "original" for many reasons, but a big reason is the fact that his copies melt with minor injury. So if someone breaks his arm hes terrified he could die. Hes the last copy standing (if he isnt the original.) Youll notice he doesnt take active part in a lot of dangerous plots or heavy fighting. This is why. Not to mention just the psychological toll it would have on someone to literally not know if theyre real.
yes the entire fandom thinks Mirio looks like either Tin Tin or Ness from the game Earthbound ALSO MY FAVORITE PRECIOUS BEAN IS HERE: the dark haired boy of the big 3 i love him i love his quirk he's precious
