I'm putting this out into the universe. I hope somehow some day someone makes this available through my TV again so I can see it. I learned that they were putting it in certain movie theaters but I never got a chance to go and I would love to see James McAvoy live. More than likely, that's the closest I will get. I love Cyrano though and I totally agree with this assessment.
I cringed when the host said they added rap to the production. Rap is one of the reasons I won't watch the play Hamilton. (Another reason is I don't like musicals and very little spoken word.)
@@johnricercato740 I'm curious to see the production because when it first launched in 2019, there was a lot of outcry of it being a glorified table read. It's not that this opinion is in minority, it's that his fans who think he can do no wrong as just the most vocal. It may very well be amazing, I can't say myself as I haven't seen it, but with all the theatrics stripped away, I can very much understand that people didn't enjoy it all that much. Because is it not the point of theater to enhance the viewers visualization of the performance?
@@jesushateswood Hmm that's kind of sad in a way, completely writing something off without at least giving it a quick look or a listen. It feels like a missed opportunity to potentially discover something new that you actually like. To each their own.
