Normally trying out a new song in the middle of an a cappella performance without telling anyone is very bad, but you can’t blame that person if the group has been singing the exact same song over and over again.

@@toastee5421 It's a really bad idea normally, how would you feel if you and everybody else agreed on a plan and then one person went off the rails without asking? She was right in this case, but this is a horrible thing to do most of the time!
@@malyesaa keyword is normally, I think if you look at the audience and 3/4 of them are falling asleep that's pretty obvious what you are doing isn't working lol.
You can see Becca checked the sound guy checking his phone, the judges looking disapproving, the crowd being bored and the other team mocking them. She closed here eyes and you can see the tension building up before she actually starts to sing. Once she starts, she knows there's no backing out. Really good performance from everyone: the acting and the reactions were so realistic
Even the announcers, Gail and John, got bored too.

The fact that Beca had the balls to do this I love her and I love Anna Kedrick so much. Of course it wasn't fair to "ruin" the performance but she tried to save it actually. How are they supposed to sing one song for generations?

You really have to credit Beca character able to think on her feet and mashing a remix that rhymes with the current performance.
That's so true! Though, knowing Beca, she probably had that remix in mind ever since the first time she heard this performance
Well the thing she does is matching tones (idk the right word ) and also she's been using the song it's shown in mashup in the start of the movie
And the fact that her voice dominated the rest without even a mic.
Also personally I think it's hard to focus on singing 1 song and not get confused with the other.

You gotta admit, it's kinda stupid to do the exact same set over and over again for a singing competition. Aubrey even gave the Bellas multiple sheets with songs, pointing out they were all from female groups. Are you telling me she went through the effort of choosing 2-3 sheets worth of 'approved' songs, only to continue doing the same few songs over and over again?

It was about keeping with the strict tradition and doing what was expected of her. Obviously Aubrey didn't WANT to, she felt like she HAD to.
Yeah, that was something that bothered me even when I was young.
I think the three sheets of paper were the lyrics to each of the songs in the set, not a list of songs.
But if it made you go this far keep singing the same song!

I like the subtlety with Rebel Wilson losing focus while Anna Kendrick performs the different song. She forgets the choreography for a second and tries to recollect herself. Loved the nuance.

Not really. I think 1-2 of the background vocalists who didn't get main singing lines have stronger vocals (Ashley and or Jessica), I think their names were that. One of them were so amazing at the audition for Since You Been Gone, so I think The Barden's picked her up or maybe even Cynthia Rose (Esther Dean)
Aubrey was extra pissed off from beca cause she only sang during her solo. But it isn't beca's fault that aubrey keeps repeating the same routine over and over
I really can’t blame Becca because no one in the audience was really listening to the Bella’s because everyone knew the set word for word, heck I bet more than half of them could sing and dance to the sets

I think Becca adding in "Bulletproof", made it sound 1,000 times better. Since everyone is so used to hearing the Bella's singing the same song over and over again. I know that would get annoying. So I agree with Becca. I would have changed it too. 😊

That's called editng. She's not actually singing, so they just made her voice sound clearer during the end edit. That wouldn't work during an actual acapella performance.
Honestly Beca had nothing to lose by trying to mix it up a bit. She and everyone besides Aubrey knew their repeat performance wasn’t going to take them anywhere, so might as well take a shot to try and save it.

Benji was the one that noticed the lead singer from one of the teams was still in high school, disqualifying their team and allowing the Bellas a second chance into the finals. Being part of the stage crew was useful in establishing Benji's love and dedication to the craft/competition (even though he wasn't accepted initially into the treblemakers, he still wanted to be near the action in any way possible). And it also helped move the plot forward, being on the stage crew allowed him to spot the high school ringer.

@@ariaflame-au no, in fact they never did. john even joked about it in the end of the pp3, when he said to gail that they should stop lying to themselves and start something (implying their relationships) and they they both erupted in laughter knowing how absurd they would be 2gether (i mean john is a committed misogynist and gail married 3d time in the last movie (off screan)) they're both just ex-acapella singers, good friends and co-hosts
