Hi 👋 hope you had a cracking time 👍
Love the backing music to your vlogs, can I ask what the song is at 17.51? Such a beautiful tune. Great to see the channel growing, such great entertainment, and guaranteed a laugh😂 in Derbyshire we call them “jittys “ not ginnel.
Hi Kim, it’s called World goes by, by House on the Hill. We love it ❤️
Thank you for watching and continuing to support us 👍👍☀️
@@Stchristopherofatlantis thank you, ❤️
Great fish and chips there . Went when they had a steam punk weekend, was awesome
Hi Sounds fab. You might have been there at the same time as us
We have never been to Whitby the coast looks really lovely , I like the cliff side walk, I will definitely be visiting after watching this.
Hello. We would recommend that site, views of the Abbey with a 20 min cliff walk 👍👍👍☀️☀️☀️
The concrete construction you saw in the distance is an underground tunnel going from Whitby to teesport for the transport of potash. We’re going to Whitby this weekend as we love it so much but it’s only an hour from where we live in hartlepool (Seaton Carew). Where you were a few weeks ago 👍
Hi This is interesting. We didn’t know, Thankyou for watching
Enjoy your weekend 👍
Very funny , good information and banter . I've not been to Whitby , ive done all the other towns down the coast though .
Famous for fish and chips , Scampi and Paul Haze of Haze Outdoors, along with you two and By the Curb , my top 3 TH-cam channels 😊
Helllo. Thank you for watching
Whitby is definitely worth a trip if you are in the area 👍👍☀️☀️
Path between houses is called a jitty in South Derbyshire
A what????? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@Stchristopherofatlantis Yep defo a jitty in Derby!
@@DavidHeath-i5w jitty also here in neighbouring Nottingham and I'm sure we all like a cob for lunch too.
Whitby is a truly beautiful place to go,I went a couple of times as a youngster with my family. It’s one of my favourite holiday destinations in England.I shall be going again in 2025 on a camping holiday.❤👍👍
Enjoy your trip 🚐🚐❤️❤️😎
My challenge (should I decide to accept it) is to get to the top of the steps to the Abbey ( after knee surgery) however that’s more yer slope which I’ve now convinced myself I can do!
It’s a cut not a ginnel.
White flower is bindweed. Pink flower is mallow.
Love your vlogs. X
Hi 👋 We hope you get yourself off to Whitby. Let us know 👍👍
Thanks so much for watching
That is a good challenge but before attempting it I would do lots of knee exercises, I didn't have a problem with knees years ago when I went to the top but they really hurt by halfway up & I kept stopping every so often to get my breath
Love the channel, always watch. The only gripe I have with spoons is where the toilets are!
All the spoons I’ve been to they are on top floor and I’ve done a few
Thanks for watching
Spoons are great if you want some exercise 🤣
@@Stchristopherofatlantis

There 2 days ago with family for a jolly out. Place was rammed. Good fun as ever.
Thanks for watching
Glad you had a fantastic time 👍
Went there in May very busy and a great place with great vibes to visit. Will hope to go again..BBC isnt that the institution thats always got it top stars in dock for sickening offences
Hi 👋 Thanks for watching. We love Whitby
Many folk in the North East of England and up to Scotland call ginnels, wynds. Some are named as such in Whitby.
So many different words 👍🤣
We’ve been going to Whitby for years we’ve cut down going just recently because it is always so busy we went earlier this year and it was just rammed. It’s nearly packed every weekend regardless.
Yes it was steampunk weekend for us and busy 👍👍👍👍
At 13.30 the structure is something to do with mining under the sea
Oooh thanks for this and thanks for watching 😀
Another great fact filled video😁 Whitby abbey always reminds me of the simply red video of holding back the years. 👍
Hi 👋 We shall have to watch Simply Reds video again… 👍
@@Stchristopherofatlantis you have to watch the live version from montreux jazz festival as well👌
Herkle durkling is you putting the magnificent Richard Hawley on the soundtrack 🥳👏🏻👌🏻
We love Richard Hawley, incredible voice ❤️👍
@@Stchristopherofatlantis there was a time I had Truelove’s Gutter album on repeat forever and a day and every time then and now it never gets old. He gets you in the heart ❤️

We're retired full time travellers currently in the moho in Albania (3rd month) and love seeing 'home' as presented in your vids, love the banter and the humour and the observations 😊 you must travel to the continent when you get a chance you'll be amazed how much you save compared to UK sites, not sure how available Madri lager is like! Anyway, we're from Donny Donny Donny and after watching about 20 vids and saying, I'm sure I've known him in a previous life, I made some reasonable enquiries and turns out I did 😂 well I do 😂well tha nos what I mean 🤷♂️🤣
Glad to hear you’re travelling, sounds like you’re living your best life. We’ve heard some good things about Albania. You remember well 😉. Take care, might even see you on our travels sometime 👍
@@Stchristopherofatlantis ahhh fabulous 😍 Albania has been the biggest surprise. People unbelievably friendly, kind and helpful 👍 Mrs now telling me not to respond like some sad TH-cam stalker 🤣 back t'Albania, brilliant country to visit and travel, challenging, but brilliant and like Greece 40 years ago (seems to be the cliche) but it's just about covers it. Anyway, loving the channel it's great 😃 stalking over, over 😄
The white flowers are Bindweed.
Eeek they are pretty but they are not good for the garden!
Just so you know. There’s a Pennsylvania in England. It’s near Bath. Chippenham to be more precise. Now I know that the American State is far more famous than the one in England but it’s obviously named after the one here.
👍👍👍 thank you for watching
Thanks you two I'm from flamborough love what you do a really down to earth couple by the way I'm the first generation to come out of flamborough that can wear gloves 🧤 lol keep doing what you do I think you brilliant

@@Stchristopherofatlantisif you want to come through we Iive in brid now it would be nice to meet up and I'll show you the coast line properly been a six fingered local lol
The field if its got strings marked out on it could be archaelogical or metal detecting?
Yeah we weren’t sure, great location
No ,it’s a gunnel, you were going down it with a wall on one side, fence on the other. ( from Lancashire).
👍👍
I know someone who is terrified of dogs, even docile ones and she would really appreciate anywhere that doesn’t allow them. Not everyone is a fan. 😪
Hi. Yes, We totally understand this
Thanks for watching 👍
the ship you saw was the hospital ship it has a real story but I cannot for the life in me remember it off hand but I do know it is well worth looking up
Hi 👋 thanks for watching, will take a look
Like your video bought a few cans of Madri from Spain.

Great video - love Claire’s confusion (sorry Claire) with Pen & Trans difference- blame it on Madri Guys LOL 😀👍
Always confused 🤣🤣🤣🤣
great again
Thank you
Have a great day
Ive heard the term "Ginnel" but we don't really use it, when i was growing up in the 70s, we used to call a cut through between streets, a Snicket? is that a real thing or is it a localised word?
Hi 👋 it’s fascinating how many words there are for the same thing 🤣🤣
First again. - we’re up there next week for a fortnight you’ll miss the regatta and my favorite the Lancaster fly past (weather permitting)
Enjoy 👍👍
The plants with the white trumpet type flowers are Japanese knotweed
Eeeek
Path between two houses where we come from is called an entry love Whitby x
Hi Sue 👋
