Yes, both is possible. Tested on my own notebook. 16 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD no problem.
@@smrdutyopossum9718 where did you buy these things? I found an 8 GB RAM online but didn't found an i7-4700EC/i7-4950HQ or a SSD.

The 650 G2 is a lot different
