the horseshoe inn , is a mile or so away , used to be a very nice pub , and that barrel is what me and dad fitted to keep the dust down in summer , a sprinkler ...put about 6 of them there , glad you found it ..
Thanks for the tour I've always liked old industrial sites. Fortunately my father shared this interest and we went on some interesting walks together. I'd have to say 90% of that trackage is now gone. Enjoy future ones with your son
It's such a shame when you see disused trains and train lines. Where it could be restored and used for tours and train rides. Always a way to find work and make money. Regards from South Africa 🇿🇦.
i was nearly killed in that quarry , we were fixing a burst pipe , i moved across the trench , and a 4wheeler tipper came backwards into the trench were i moved from ..

That's amazing that you fitted it there with your dad. Was wondering what it was for.

Oh dear the Trespasser Police are onto you! There's always one... 😆

Wonderful ,. Old railway
Beautiful video. Liked this train track .Greetings from CANADA
Name of the country.
A couple of shunters and some brakevans, Makeshift platforms that should be up and running, Good one.
I wonder if that steam engine would start?
You should build a rail rider so you can ride your son down the railroad tracks that would be fantastic and a really way to explore
That’s a turntable. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Would make a great preservation railway!

Great video Darren. Love history.
My dad used that clocking on machine when he worked at the quarry.
At the end of the video, is that some kind of pulley system?
This could easily be restored as a heritage line.
I was one of those kids
