Domaine Sula is approximately 70 kms from Bangalore. It is located at Channapatna. We stopped over on our way back home from Mysore. You could also make it a day trip by doing the wine tour and a tour of the Channapatna toys.
Sula acquired this from Heritage Winery and rebranded it as Kadu. There is a cover charge for entry but it can be used for spendings on tour and tastings, the bottle room, the gift shop or the restaurant. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant and then did the tour. You are taken through the process of wine making and you get to see the barrel room, bottling as well as the vineyard. Best time to visit is between February to April when you get to see the grapes and the harvesting.
