Thank you for talking about going in a different direction from what society expects of us. It was a really good reminder that there are good reasons to do things our own way. As for getting rid of your exos, is there anything keeping your from turning your whole plant room into a warm, humid place for plants? Christine Kobzeff (on YT) has a big plant room in her dry, Arizona house.

I have most of my plants in glass cabinets and feel the same way about walking into my plant room. It's my happy place and I love seeing my plants. While a grow tent would be great for the plants, it just doesn't do it for me.
Can't wait to see how that new propagation method ends up ! I will enjoy the outcome whether it is a bop or a flop lol

I bought my first house (townhouse) mid last year at 31 and I look at everyone else married or in healthy long term relationships and those with kids and get that same worry and stress. It’s always greener on the other side. I know you will reach your goals ❤️

I personally think your plant room is beautiful. I have a grow tent and those plants seem to get neglected and I don't get to enjoy them the way I do my plants out in the open and my cabinets. Just my opinion.

Great video as always. Trying to get my nerves together to prep for a bunch of import anthurium arriving soon. I’m sure I will have a lot to clean up and hopefully make some propagations. King of spades is #1 on my wishlist, yours is beautiful! I can't wait to own one, one day but they're scarce and expensive here. If your room makes you happy how it is, don't change it, though I love my littler grow tent as the growth is just insane 🙂

Abit of a pattern there it seems where you were discussing your choices in life… there’s no point dwelling on what ifs, you’ve chosen your path in life and we all get to certain milestones in our own times
I’ve never thought to eat a lemon like that, now you have me craving one. I think it’s the acid that they say is bad, but my medicine that I take is acidic and my dentist told me to brush my teeth right after, to get rid of the residue and it not sit on your teeth. Guess now I’ll have to do some research! Lol

Omg where do you get those huge clear pots?! I’ve been looking for that exact type of pot for my big anthuriums that need a repot but I can’t find anything that is both clear and that big 🥲
Did your props and repots survive? Anything you wish you had done different?
I’m learning about anthurium care, and totally trying to decide whether or not to repot a forgetii I got a couple weeks ago [prior owner took it out of lechuza pon self-watering pot and put it into moss]. It’s going to flower soon.. and it either has multiple flowers incoming or another leaf, idfk.. it has at least 1 flower incoming, per prior owner.. HOWEVER, idk what I should repot it in or if I should shoot my shot at propping it - I don’t want to f up the new growth. So, not necessarily asking for those answers but looking for what best practices/regrets/lessons learned you have now that it’s 10mos after this video.
Anyway. Suffering analysis paralysis here. Please provide your wisdom, kthxbye 👀

Re: shirt tags. I always cut all shirt tags out of my clothes. If it's a special shirt I will hang dry, but generally if my usual laundry routine ruins the shirt, it's not meant to be lol.
When I get home with new clothes, I sit down with scissors, cut the price tags off, and other tags including size and laundry info tags. Straight into the bin lol. Sometimes I'll read the tags before I throw them out but not always
Re: camera angles. Have you tried filming with you phone as well yet? Maybe this video was filmed before you received your phone mount.
I'm personally fine with not seeing a close up while you're chopping, but I do imagine having a two camera set up would make filming easier in a few ways... And maybe complicate it others 😅
i struggle with moving plants from moss to soil. so much of the moss clings to the roots and then when i water, the soil is dry but the moss is wet so i'm overwatering/causing root rot
I moved mine from soil to Sphagnum moss (Locally Bought/Soily) and watered every 2 days and still thriving & loving the set up! I revived an Anthurium with the same media and now have 9 pups! They will grow a lot when you hang the pot making a well balanced airy/moist media. 💙✨
Hi Charmain, great chop and prop video! I look forward to your updates on the chunks. How long do you think it will take to grow a leaf from hunks? I got an anthurium christalinum from previous I port from Ecuagenera which is down to a chunk, just wondered if it will grow anything?
I’ve actually had some chonks stay dormant for close to a year! So don’t give up on them 💪🏼
I am not at that stage I would feel comfortable in doing propagations and growing plants from a stem root. Even when i see these plants videos where the plants are being chopped up I cannot help getting my stomach in a knot and let out a squeal. I would not have the courage to do it. I am not a fan of crop tops i always feel unconscious showing my stomach and feel like i have to keep pulling it down.

I don’t know if this is helpful, but regarding your craving for lemons. Most of the time when we really crave something it’s because our body is missing a form of nutrient. In this case it might be vitamin C
This is what multiple people have told me too since the video went up! I guess I need to stop skipping my vitamin c pills. Why does taking vitamins feel like such a chore for me 🥲

I have no choice but to have a grow tent to have plants. 😭 I hate it. I have a 10x10 in my basement and I *hate* it. I'd rather have uglier plants. Milsbo, or ANY glass cabinets, are just impossible to find around me 😭
