- The Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit (MRT) system serving the city of Mumbai and the wider Mumbai Metropolitan Region in Maharashtra, India. Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority is the responsible authority for maintaining the metro system. Maha Metro is responsible for all the metro rail projects undergoing in Maharashtra except the Mumbai Metropolitan Area. The system is designed to reduce traffic congestion in the city, and supplement the overcrowded Mumbai Suburban Railway network.

I'm a foreigner from Europe and I'd like to thank you a bunch for this great explanation and for adding English subtitles to it. I find it very difficult to obtain information about some Indian metros in English (as a transport enthusiast). To me, line 4 looks like it is well underway and could be completed in a pretty decent amount of time if I was to guess and I find this very encouraging because Mumbai deeeeseperately needs this infrastructure. Well done for the video, great quality!

Love the video and the soundtrack too. I used to work at the TCS office in Vikhroli and it's nice to see that a metro station will come up not too far away. The sight of slums creeping up the hills is distressing though.

if the slums and old building are redeveloped Mumbai looks pretty decent. what i really love is it has plenty of green coverage for a big crowded city. Great video.

Man!! The most impressive thing about Mumbai is the amount of green cover 🌳 it has. No doubt why it was among "Tree City of the World 2021" by UN FAO.

Compared to New York, Longon, Moscow and China, this length could be doubled to give connectivity to more areas and satellite cities. Mumbai proper is dense and a system like Hong Kong or Tokyo with small length is sufficient.

Lot of it is already happening. The more South you go in Mumbai, the number of slums start drastically reducing.

Kya mast videos hai bhai. Never before seen perspective of LBS road! Thank you so much! Also it seems Line4 is neither directly connected to Line1 at Ghatkopar, nor to any of the Central railway stations. Thats a disappointment. Would have been very beneficial.

@@swayammaurya2632 Yeah sorry, I meant that quick Interchanges don't exist between Line4 and Suburban rail. If Half km walk is OK, Then KanjurMarg and Vikhroli is also connected, albeit without a walkway.
Line 4 will be connected to line 2B in the future.

Amazing video. I can see the efforts being put. Good work & keep doing. It helps bring better accountability on public infrastructure work for general people. However, Line 4 has very poor progress. Other main lines like Line 9 & Line 6 has made really good progress comparatively in last 6 months. Try to cover line 9. Considering we have elections next year & Metro progress is a big agenda in Current government's list & CM's local constituency is Thane, I had expected much faster work atleast for line 4.

Thank you so much for this video. More than the Metro Line, I was surprised to see the area near LBS Marg, where I grew up in Mulund. I have been staying abroad for the past 12 years, and I had no idea how much the area has developed. In the video, I could spot the building in which I grew up and couldn't imagine there were so many tall buildings surrounding it.

wow mumbai is quit green. when all metro will become operational , i can easily say, within next 10 TO 12 years mumbai itself will become a 1 TRILLION econony , for sure. AT present its nearby areas should be developed to so that it can prevent the city from overcrowding
