This is beautiful to see, after all these years Rave, oldskool hardcore in 2023. Altern8 one of the original pioneers of the hardcore scene, playing banger after banger. Their's a lot of people there who wasn't even born when Rave exploded, but it's great to see them enjoying it and having a blast. Big ups Altarn8, Coventry Midlands crew was definitely where it's at back in the day. Man Parris, Bang-in Tunes, eclipse, the edge. Oh yeahhh 🙏🏼👊🏻🎶🎶🎵🎵🇬🇧
The Eclipse was the best club in the country if you ask me and I went to shelleys and the Haciender but these were far from pioneers,they were pop stars .I saw them in shelleys car park with the other 10,000 people that claimed they were there,and I certainly wouldn't call charley a banger when it ruined the rave scene.

Belter set! I saw Altern8 this year at Lindisfarne Festival and Mark played a cracking set, I even met him and wife and he let me wear his Altern8 long coat for a photo 👍🔥

54 years old and I still DJ 90-93 oldskool hardcore. In fact I played a 3 hour set today. I can't play these anthems anymore though, heard them too many times, rinsed to death. Thankfully there are tens of thousands of other tunes to play which haven't been done to death.

This was Epic, when Charlie Says came in I had tingles!!! A complete history of early Rave. Altern-8 Active 8 got me into raving and of course quadrophenia, 3 blind mice, dominator and all the other magical songs that came before and after that ;) Unfortunately whilst the predominantly younger audience seem to be enjoying it they will never be able to experience the freedom of the original Eclipse raves :( And the thrill of unofficial empty warehouse raves etc.

I agree with most of the comments on here. We were the pioneers of electronic music in our day, but times change ppl change. It’s impossible to compare the early 90‘s rave scene to any music scene of today. I prefer to accept that we started the electronic music revolution. It’s refreshing to see how timeless the music is even though today’s younger generation express themselves and show their appreciation in a different way than us but society is a different place these days! Got to big up Altern-8 for making face coverings trending before trending was even a thing! Big love ❤️ guys 😂

Takes me back! 91/92 was when I started listening to rave. Unfortunately I was too young at the time and missed the scene although I used to buy all the tape packs.
Altern 8 was and still is my favorite Techno Rave band
This was Epic, when Charlie Says came in I had tingles!!! A complete history of early Rave. Altern-8 Active 8 got me into raving and of course quadrophenia, 3 blind mice, dominator and all the other magical songs that came before and after that ;) Unfortunately whilst the predominantly younger audience seem to be enjoying it they will never be able to experience the freedom of the original Eclipse raves :( And the thrill of unofficial empty warehouse raves etc.
@@OAPHarmerHerrStarmler only went to one of those, but was it was hiphop based around 1996 ish? But was awesome to be in a open field etc :)

I agree with most of the comments on here. We were the pioneers of electronic music in our day, but times change ppl change. It’s impossible to compare the early 90‘s rave scene to any music scene of today.
I prefer to accept that we started the electronic music revolution.
It’s refreshing to see how timeless the music is even though today’s younger generation express themselves and show their appreciation in a different way than us but society is a different place these days!
Got to big up Altern-8 for making face coverings trending before trending was even a thing!
