this is a great review, I have the Bobcats, but think the Wildcats are what I should have gone with....I think. I did try various brands that were cheaper, then Smith, and that changed everything, they really are that damn good. Thanks for this review, new sub for you!
Happy to hear that! In between i also tested the scratch resistance and they great 😀…(I forgot em on the top of the car and drove away) 😅…. Thanks for commenting Girard 👋🙋♂️
Great review! Thank you. I bought a pair of thr Attack MAG MTB Photochromic glasses, and have not yet ridden with them, but I did sit them in the sun like your test, and 5 minutes later, the lens was still nearly clear still. I am wondering if the lense is not as good as the Wildcat. I tried on the Wildcat with my Fox Speedframe Pro helmet, and the helmet rested on the frames, hence why I chose the Attack MTB instead.
I do ski touring and I like to bring with me a S0 clear ski mask. But I need to bring also S2 ski mask. Aaand I go up with S3 sunglasses (the ski mask makes me sweat). So I bring 3 pair. Do you think I can do all with just those photochromic sunglasses?
I would say that it would be less than ideal … I did not spend enough time skitouring with em glasses. But I feel like UV reflection of the snow is very high and the days when there is flat light, they will be still kind of dark.

Thanks for your review, very helpful.
wish everyone laid out info & visual feedback like you man, great review!
Photochromic lenses usually activate better in the cold which is why they went so dark in the snow.
I believe it is not caused by the temperature… I believe that snow reflects UV and that is why on the snow, photochromic lenses get darker.
Just bought em for mtb, can’t wait to receive them you convinced me that was the right choice !

@@rollingdown8699 😂😭 do you know how long it takes to get clear for exemple when going from a sunny field to the forest ?
It was in the video 😉….50 second from clear to dark … of course it does not handle extreme changes so well as for example camera or your eyes.
@@rollingdown8699 no I mean from dark to clear :)
Hah no idea … I would guess the same amount of time

@@rollingdown8699 being too dark even on cloudy day is what I’m afraid of!
