Awesome to see other Big Irons out there! Love mine, I've got a similar build to yours. 2 things to keep in mind with it: 1)I've had an issue with a crazy loud creak a few months into owning mine, it ended up being the rear dropouts. Had to put a bit of grease there. 1st bike with sliding dropouts so I didn't know that was a potential cause. 2)Also check the rear endcaps from and make sure they are tight on the SRC hubs. I've had them come loose and then destroy the FH body. Just a heads up!
Yes, they do make great bikes... lots of my friends already on them, helped make my decision... and customer service has been awesome... you can actually get someone on the phone, and if they don't have an answer or a fix, they figure it out fast - ride on!
@@DirtyTeethMTB Sweet! I’ll keep an eye out on the trails and say hi if I see you. I often ride Quigley rd out and back on a Salsa beargrease. I usually have my German short haired pointer with me.
What a nice looking frame! I’ve been on the waiting list forever for a RSD Mayor ti frame. This big iron looks like a good alternative frame to look into.
NBD is the best day, even more so for a fat bike! Beautiful bike, Ti is always a good way to go! Enjoy! It has all the things! Do the 29x3 for the summer, so good!! Revel sells a set of Why Ti bars I have been eyeing up! They would look great on this bike.
Thanks for watching Elevation... lovin this bike so far :) Those Revel/Why Ti bars are sweet, and would surely look amazing... especially with that agave color option! Unfortunately not enough sweep for my fat biking liking... so waiting for some 20/20's to come back into stock :) - Ride on!!!
I haven't put a squishy fork on this one... it's pretty much reserved for snow... but it is pretty much the same frame as the wayward but with clearance for bigger wheels/tires... so probably pretty dang fun on dirt with a 120mm fork :)
Hi Darrell, thanks for watching and commenting - re: travel cases... I'd recommend the EVOC XL - it fits fatties... it has a soft exterior, but is burly and has lots of padding, smart design... I know many folks using this and they swear by it... definitely worth checking out...
I never rode with them, because I swapped to HED Big Half Deals... but I'm very familiar with the Mulefuts and have made them tubeless for friends... good wheels at a good price... :) Ride on!
REEB Donkadonk with pinion. Fat with belt and pinion gearbox...best combo I've ever riden. Did tons of snow and with a quick wheel swap I rode the TD this summer fully loaded.
@@sdmedguy wondering about pinion or EFFIGEAR , NOT perhaps a rohloff, but can only afford one new frame. Have you done a write up on the pinion failures or successes or maintenance issues.
@@davidalderson7761 have not done a writeup, but there are a ton of user reviews out there for pinion. For myself, I have had not had to do anything except wash the belt off. In the snow I like the simplicity, clearance and low center of gravity, plus a belt does not get impacted by snow. Having done a few overnights I have had no freazing issues. The only drawback is no commercial fat frames, so custom only so far as I've seen.

@@DirtyTeethMTB Thank you for checking!! Yeah Why cycles says it won't work on the V1, but I almost want to convince them to sell it to me and I'll see for myself. Cheers!
Lol. My gen1 Spec Fatboy (with some very simple inexpensive mods from stock and a gen1 Raceface NextSL crankset) is 26.5# I have about $2G into it, and that includes the initial purchase price of the bike.
Ya just don't feel the ride quality of Titanium, in a FS rig. And polished Ti, really makes a aesthetic statement. Mine is the Bearclaw. With 29x2.8 studded on the front connected to a Wren 130mm fork and a 29x2.5 rear. Traction? I go faster & with more grip on roads covered with ten inches of heavy snow, than most vehicles. Connected simple no-hassle affordable Deore 10-speed with a FSA crankset. Looking forward to installing carbon bar & Ridefast carbon front wheel, in Spring. Ya can truly get the benefits of carbon wheels on a hardtail.
Nice bike….. but I still like my Yukon 2 which was half the price and only a few pound heavier AND my carbon folks have bosses for front cargo racks 😉 🤟🏻🇨🇦
Update: Revel ended up coming through and taking care of me afterall. Wheelset issue was resolved and this is one bad azz machine. The Ti frame is pretty awesome! Revel customer support is about the worst I have experienced. I just got my Big Iron, bike itself is awesome. Unfortunately they sent it to me with a bent up rim and the rear bearing has a horrendous squeak. Emailed customer service, they were like "meh, take it to your local bike shop and fix it yourself" ummm, excuse me, this is a $6000 bike, would be great if you didn't ship it with eff'd up wheels. Nevetheless, I'm within 30-days, sending the whole bike back and getting something from a company that stands behind the product they sell.
Frankly, these are tough times. I personally don't have any friends that can throw this kind of money at a bicycle. Right now I am concerned about putting food on the table and paying my mortgage.
Very valid point, Glen. Higher-end bikes are definitely a want vs need - and the best bike is the one between your legs, so get out there and ride on!! :)
