Just took home a new leftover 2022 from the dealer. The five mile ride was luxurious. When the weather cools down I'm heading back out but right away I can tell this is an amazing machine. So smooooooth.
I've got nearly 5000 km now on my 2022 since I bought in August. Love it more and more. I don't like side cases that open out to the side, top lids much better for my use. All my junk falls out, lol. I changed out the windscreen for the MRA Vario Touring tinted, and it's a huge improvement and adds to the pleasure greatly. Looks better too. I got the Yamaha comfort touring seat, much better on my body and a little lift without raising the seat. Thanks for the review!
I was checking the MRA screen out, I'm glad you like it. I may end up getting that screen as well. Definitely going for the comfort seat next. 💺 Thanks for checking out the video!
I bought the same bike in the gray, black and blue color. I can hardly wait until the first service so I can really test it out. I agree with you all all your points. Great review.
I did a 350 mile trip over the weekend on my Tracer 9 GT over 7 hours and my upper back was pretty messed up 2 hours in. Love the bike in every other way though and I've got 4000 miles on it.
Thanks for checking out the video. Yea I had some knee pain in my trip but I'm going to start adjusting the seat height and handle bars to see what kind of difference it makes.
Bro, your mountain trip sound like a trip I did a couple of weeks ago on my Yamaha bolt. Went to a place that was 2:30hrs away, but did 3 stops on the way, so it was fine getting there. But on the way back we rode non stop. I'm sure u were much more comfortable than I was, the bolt Only has 5 gears, I got home my hands were vibrating for hours lol got home all sore.
Hi man, Great review, i have exactly the same bike and similar setup with cameras, 😂 Loved the video. how you find the Shoei helmet on this bike as i do suffer with buffeting , however i have a sport helmet and this doesn't work for touring bikes very well, and was thinking of shoei gt air 2.
It's got the torque for sure.... perfect for the street. Smooth solid pick up... you'll be able to merge into traffic with speed as well as maneuver through busy city streets.
Some grip pads I got off eBay for about 30 buck total. The pegs are at their lowest. I scrape em all the time in the twisties. I did raise the seat height and helped a lot. I'm actually planning on raising the pegs the next time I hit the mountain.
Same here! 13.5k at mine red or silver colors. 16k otd price, not sure yet if thats a competitive price yet but seems decent enough. 2023 model does not seem like it will have much difference so my as well save 1.5k right? I really want a mt09 sp but figure this make keep me from killing myself and be more comfortable on longer trips. 😆 What are you thinking now?
I didn’t get an OTD price BUT I have bought a couple bikes there. The freight and set up is around $1700 tax here is 9.6% and a 200 doc fee and license is $150 so I would guess around 16500
Well done video. Rode it. Just have to say that the tank is not huge, otherwise I mostly agree. :) You got my like here and you can check my test ride of this bike. Keep up mate.
Does it seem like there is not much room to move around on the seat to mix it up and get comfortable on longer rides? Seems like you are stuck in one spot basically. I wish the suspension had more than 2 modes, does it seem like that is enough? Feels like there should be a lot more customization going on there, maybe it was the compromise to be one of the cheapest bikes with semi active suspension? Is the dash hard to see if the sunlight is at the right angle on the glossy screens? Does your shoes hit the center stand and get annoying? Appreciate the video though and sorry for all the ?'s these are mostly things ive seen others complain about.
The seat does get annoying after a long ride. The hump from the passenger seat can get in the way but I think I've gotten use to it. The suspension has been flawless so far but I haven't taken it to the track, just spirited street rides.
Zero issues with the dash. I wish they could've added more options for the second display screen, but it's fine so far. My feet fit well on the pegs as well. Size 12 in men's

Hell yea! Congrats on the new bike! I'm almost 8,000 miles in and still loving it!
About to do the same. Taking it to tail of the dragon this year

Is there a comfort seat for it? Would that help or is it just not quite the right body position for you?
Excellent 1000mile review I love my Tracer 9 GT (in Tech Kamo Colour)
Thanks Dean. You got a nice colour!
Great review! Thank you.
Thanks Mike!
You know we in here early. Them heated grips gonna have you covered for the winter. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes the daily.
Facts bro. I only ride the zx10 so I can stay use to it. Coming from the tracer to the zx10 feels super weird after a while.

Yep. The long trips aren't that bad if you make stops.

How is the pick up on it? I’m really considering getting on of these.
It's got the torque for sure.... perfect for the street. Smooth solid pick up... you'll be able to merge into traffic with speed as well as maneuver through busy city streets.
What grip pads are those on the gas tank? Lower your pegs, you are 6'2" your legs are cramped, bike is designed for 5'7" to 5'9" riders.

Does the 2022 Yamaha 9 GT have an integrated braking system?
Yes indeed
I put the puig sport screen on and it changed the entire ride. I got way too much buffeting from the stock.
Yep! I had the same issue.
how is it with a passenger?
I love it. Perfect bike for a passenger.
Other than the dead spot from 5k-7k I love my “21”. The red really pops too !
I figure they do that so that inexperienced riders can easily have low end torque in more city environments and solid gas mileage.
How’s this bike on highway
Lovely. A bit shakey above 125mph though.
Up to and including 65 mph (I'm still in first stage break-in) it is smooth and comfortable, engine hardly working, cruise control, yeah baby!
Just to clarify, is it a BAD BOY?
Affirmative.
I wud just get the mt10 n have more speed as well.. mt10 is actually a sport touring motorcycle
I gotta stop watching, this bike is going to find its way into my garage. They have one in red 2022 @ my dealer marked down to 13,300

I went in to have a sit on one. They now have the 2022 Red priced @ 12,999 + all the other fees.
@@Myrussell67 Pretty good whats the out the door price? Guessing the 2023 models are coming within the next month or two.

@@Myrussell67 Okay thanks man! Trying to see if my dealer is in the same ballpark, which it seems like they are.

These are all GREAT questions that I should've brought up in this video.

This dude claiming he’s been everywhere with th tracer only has 1000 miles. Comon man
I counted about 30 bad boys!🤣
😂😂
The music in the background while talking is distracting
this or bmw f900xr is the question
For the money...THIS
@@6GearCutloe they are same money
Get that puig windscreen
The touring one?
Terrible review
Thanks for watching the review. What would you grade from a scale of 1 to 10? What can I improve?
