This song is perfect for them. Pete is literally the Angel that fell in love with the devil. So he clipped his wings off to be with him. But the Angel will always be an Angel and can’t turn into what the devil is. So he suffers every day loving the devil and but because he loves him so much he learns to enjoy the pain the devil gives. Just felt really poetic.
