My channel is very similar to @KOT4Q, Rusty Buckeys, Motown Noah, JxmyHighroller, Secret Base, JJ Redick, ThatsGoodSports, UrinatingTree, Kenny For Real, Thinking Basketball, Baseball Doesn't Exist, BSOLZ, AFunkyDiabetic, and Jon Bois! #KOT4Q
I keep thinking a tiger was going to jump in frame my dawg looking back like he being stalked 😂😂
LOLOL
ESPN fired their entire staff and then force fed us current players with zero chemistry. I agree it’s very icky.
And women lol
@@FalseNi9ebro had to throw some misogyny in
@@FalseNi9e least sexist NBA fan:
Is there any info about how much the current player on-screen people get paid? It'd be even wilder if it turns out these players aren't even getting paid and just wanna be on TV for free promo or their own egos.
Ironically… Kendrick Perkins isn’t even the worst anymorr
Only a couple of seconds in and this is the most anxiety filled video you’ve ever made. I really thought you were gonna break the camera.😭😭
How
Fucking what?
Kofie looks over his shoulder one more time I’m gonna be setting beside my windows for a week
I love the NBA because of how player centric it is but then it should be the NBA medias job to do a good analysis of the games.
Just pushing player drama and which super star won each game makes the NBA so 1 dimensional to causal fans.
Its really feels like no one at ESPN is putting any effort into their job sometimes.
U look like they took ya passport bro 😂😂😂
You're right, this whole thing screams "conflict of interest"
They used active players to broadcast games back in the day too. Difference is back then those dudes were there to have fun and have a go at other players and teams cause they didn't feel the need to hide their colours. Nowadays whenever one of this current players is brought up he tries to play the role of an analyst and be all correct and it just doesn't work
Bros shirt is inside-out AND backwards, and his eyes darting around like he waiting for the opps to show up. BRO, ARE YOU OKAY!? 😅
Guessing this man is in Ghana, and he fighting for his life vs them mosquitoes 😂
I think that it speaks to the level of non-factor television is in my life that I haven't been aware of this trend. I just don't look at television for opinions about sports. I talk to friends and hang out in small communities like this. The Internet has made that kind of energy too accessible to make going to television for that rudimentary style of community compelling in any way for me.
It’s like listening to AJ Pierzynski call a white Sox game. He’s a former player that was often emotional. And now he lets his biases and beefs get in the way of being a good caster. He also just has a marble mouth…
I don’t know, it feels like they just saw the rise of active players having successful podcasts and decided to start shoving them in front of us. They don’t realize that a podcast like that is only successful because people like seeing players pull pack the curtain and just talk like regular people. Being put in a suit in front of a teleprompter during a live broadcast is a whole different ball game that takes training to get good at. I don’t know, why can’t they just keep doing what they were doing? Find former players that have enjoyable personalities, are good in front of a camera, and have a decent basketball IQ? No need to bring in players unless they’re specifically trying to get views thru drama.
Hey. I just wanted to tell you I love what you create. This channel rules.
Your unique style is endearing in a hellscape of internet content. It's genuine.
Oh, and the stuff you do with secret base is good as well.
Thank you for sharing your gifts.
yes bro it is so awkward and unnecessary like when they do coach interviews after the 1st quarter like bruh what tf is he gonna say that’s gonna be interesting or insightful? it’s impossible and it’s always short answer awkward interviews
uhhhh kofie, your shirt is inside out and backwards
Was about to say the same thing he look petrified out there 😂😂😂
the engagement bait worked
Hey yo
Nah, he said he likes to wear certain shirts like that because he said it "feels nicer" on his chest and belly skin.
Don’t kill the camera, Kofie 😭
Calling the most peaceful background chaotic is so funny
You know you're on a good vacation when you put your shirt on inside out. Safe travels!
I thought it was really weird to see people calling for his suspension (probably rightly) during the season were sitting there cutting it up with Draymond months later like "Say the thing Say the thing!!!" about Rudy as if he was a pull string toy
Joel recruiting Paul George has gotta be the most iconic moment in this series cause they can actually might go the finals maybe not win but go to the finals more engaging then the actual finals
I been complaining about this so much and it was really the worst during the finals which is when the coverage should be the best
it's not journalism it's entertainment it's not journalism it's entertainment it's not journalism it's entertainment it's not journalism it's entertainment
Well they’re not even entertaining. Also why can’t it be both? Why do people have to be incorrect to be entertaining?
@@justingrout8037 Because controversy creates cash unfortunately.
@@justingrout8037 Of course journalism and entertainment and co-exist in the same media product, but it's also clear that the goals for both types of product aren't particularly aligned. Entertainment is often saying false or evidentially unsupported things because it's funny (false things comes in many varieties and often doesn't even involve lying because there isn't a standard of telling the straight ahead truth; think standup comedy). Journalism has to at least be evidentially supported. The issue of truth being the goal or not aside, sports entertainment and sports journalism have other differing goals, such as trying impart knowledge to viewers. When I watch First Take, I know I'm not really gonna learn much because they're not trying to impart any knowledge to me (even if it happens incidentally sometimes). Instead, they're characters that're meant to put forth a compelling character arc. But when I read Athletic articles, they're often entertaining only because I care about the core subject matter, which is not true about most readers. Most sports fans are ultra casuals who don't actually care much about knowing the game or players or strategy or metas, and sports entertainment is meant to work for that audience while a good chunk of sports journalism doesn't work for that audience. I have a feeling you know this already, but maybe seeing it actually written out is a good reminder. The times when sports entertainment and journalism peacefully co-exist are rare and are often just the best people, like Secret Base and Jon Bois.
This is so unethical even for ESPN to a point where I think the federal government should be involved. This shit is nuts and there's too much money flying around
You are like my inner thoughts lol, Whenever I’m watching these shows and talks, I’m like wait, isn't that guy currently playing? wait, why are we slandering a player who got injured, HE CAN'T CONTROL INJURY!
Kofie posted up somewhere in Africa looking nervous af 🤣 what country are you from?
100k by the end of the year brother you deserve it.
Thanks Kofie for the nuance and calm takes on sports. Just got done watching Gilbert Arenas yell and scream about Alex Sarr having a rough start to summer league
I can't do that man. That is one of the things that really changed my opinion on Shaq. The way he slanders "new" players. You just get the feeling that he is primarily trying to prop himself up while pushing others down.
@@jochenklausberger9076 it all started when these athletes got podcast. And started telling us that there opinion superseded everyone else’s when those dudes can’t even agree on top 5’s. It was just a fallacy to get people to watch them. I love Gil but he is just Stephen A Smith who played.
Did you see his commentary on Joel Embiid and South Sudan
@@Nahanoo wow thanks for the heads up just went and listened and it’s literally what I thought it was gonna be.
Kofie looking so nervous man, it’s making me so paranoid
I'm on youtube, podcasts, etc -- like this channel -- looking for NBA content that isn't the national stuff you just described.
I can't do 90% of players' "analysis", and I can't do hot-take culture anymore. So I'm basically starved for content like Kofie's.
As a man with a Camera, I jumped to help save the Camera 😂
He said getting back to the states silent flex 💪
You're the best youtuber to listen to when it comes to american sports, and it's not even close. Keep up the amazing content!
This is journalism. It's not just entertainment. These people have the same mindset of any person with a ton of money and power and political sway. Don't let them say that one thing is entertainment and one is journalism because that's how they get you to consent to unethical behavior and normalize it. If it's journalism when Donald Sterling says the N word or OJ Simpson kills someone it's journalism when they talk about free agency and when they talk about anything to do with sports and ethics need to be maintained if you are reporting in front of a camera.
Kofie out here with the best backdrops no matter if it’s IRL or green screen. Can’t wait for a video from Antarctica
Kofi Kingston gives off mad vibes
Only Katie Nolan can save this parallel universe of sports media
Chill ahh tropical ahh backyard
Sounds like CJ loves basketball
Kofie gotta green screen the grass and the trees behind him
I love being able to know this wasn’t the USA based off the people I’ve met in life

If pg wants to get on camera n wine about the nba that other stuff is a given to be asked that why I don’t like pg …. Has a bad moment and then talks about it then to be slandered on the internet
comment to help a bro
They fired people with basketball knowledge and filled them with check boxes and women. They care more about "diversity" than quality, knowledge content. They offer no actual insight in the basketball realm. They put players down and only talk about the Lakers and Bronny. ESPN is unwatchable and I get my basketball fix from creators like yourself.
Oh no! Not "women"! Oh, the horror!!! 🤡
@@selanryn5849 oh great heavens! And they are wearing pants!!!
Oh noooo not “women” in sports nooooo😢😢😢😢
Creators like kofie would not stand with anything you stand for.
