Corbin makes a tray that fits over the Ram to collect the extruded lead from the die instead of picking it up off the ground. Cut your cores shorter and you won’t be extruding so much lead. 🤔🤓
Thanks I will mention the tray to Gene. We like the longer cores so we can use it for different sizes and weights. One of my favorite slugs is a 34 grain one we could custom another mold for just that one so we have shorter pieces of extruded lead. It would be a trade off for time and money spent doing it.
Would love to buy a press for my ammo. There is just one thing stopping me; all air rifles are pellet particular. What if the ammo this puts out doesn't work for my weapon? Now I've spent all of that money, and I'm screwed. Its one thing to spend some money trying out different brands of pellets. Who has the money to try out different brands of swagers?
bluewater454 You can send Corbin a pellet that shoots well in your rifle. From that they will make a die that produces a pellet of that exact diameter.
Hi, What size are the blanks that you are putting in the press, I'm trying to make a mold to form the blanks but am unsure of the length and diameter of the blank that will be forming a .22 or 5.52 slug. Any ideas please.

I just got my S press a month or so ago, and it makes all my other presses seem rickety.
I'm new to pcp's and have the Benjamin akela ..I'm not sure if I can shoot slugs instead of pellets..Would love to be able to swage my own slugs

Andrew Smith Swaging is generally done with pure lead because it is soft enough to “flow.” I’ve never heard of copper being swayed.

Lol it’s so much work to make slugs… not something I’d be just dragging along to the park! A guy is lucky to cut and swage a couple hundred in a hour

You can cast the blanks or cut them from lead wire. 🤓
