this is pretty much NOT gonna flop but ill upload tomorrow gn
your man is back
hey guys i translated this over 3 years ago and while im fluent in both japanese and english i think some translations could've been better. same goes for the namida translation. i was 12 when i made this, now 16. my vocabulary was more limited back then.
also there are one or two errors in the video cuz it's rushed. i'm not watching this again but yall can feel free to rephrase stuff since a lot of people are still watching this.
i put these comments here because i wiped like almost all of my videos but have these up. the reason isn't for views but because i notice there are still occasional comments even 3+ years after the release of the song and upload of this video, and these translations are also used in fan wikis if i remember correctly.
wow ur talented
@@yeibei i'm half japanese and learned both languages at a young age 🥲 but thank you
Maretu’s previous song: Don’t give up keep fighting
Maretu’s current song: give up lol

What previous song?
Dang MARETU fans are speed at translating when a new song came out
Very, this also happened with naminda im pretty sure-
especially this one user named FlaminghornZ…..
@@driftydrifter Yeah. Flaminghornz is amazing
Yea, VERY fast
Hay we all godda know the story
a reminder that one of the worst things you can do as a vocaloid theorist is take lyrics literally, especially with artists like maretu. vocaloid lyrics tend to be very rich in metaphors and subtle meanings
True, true. I agree with your statement.
Nah mate, I'm just gonna take this song as a kid eating candy while mocking you, anything else is too complicated for my 3 brain cells
@@ellahere2300 not even gonna lie, that sounds based
@@d4tenshi I know what it means but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be negative or positive-
@@ellahere2300 It’s positive. Though I’m sure you’ve figured that out by now.
I am so happy to see this translation. In my opinion, it puts the weak theories about "cannibalism" to bed really quickly. Some fans were even postulating that Maretu wrote this song about Sagawa, all while getting his story wrong / romanticizing his disgusting crime. It's sad to see such immaturity, but.. Who's really surprised.
This song paints the picture of a paranoid person engaging in violent fantasies against perceived oppressors all while "having an open heart" and acting the part of the "hero," a typical delusion of grandeur. There's also a childishness to this person, the chorus makes that explicitly clear with the bratty tone throughout / double v at the very end. I think towards the end of the song, the protagonist has actually acted out on their paranoid delusions in an act of murder / violence and there's no going back for them. It shows a failure of the mental health system, a heart-breaking problem around the world.
I think this is the most sound interpretation i've seen so far
Yo this makes sense!
Favorite interpretation
first time i saw a translation of the song it reminded me of light yagami !!
the cannibalism case is interesting but it's not really maretus style to cover specific cases.. even with coin locker baby, it was a more of a societal problem than a singular messed up case
isn't this about drugs????
Dear overseas guys. Please forgive my bad translation.
MARETU often likes wordplays. This is the part written in hiragana.
-心が(は)"ひろいん"だ 1:06 2:27
I have a big heart
My heart is like a heroine
-もう、"つかれて"しまったの。 2:36
I'm tired already.
I'm already obsessed with it.
(Probably)
-もう、"いかれて"しまったの。 2:52
I've gotten crazy now.
It's already gone.
Also, keep in mind that in Japanese lyrics, you don't know if the lyrics are about yourself or the other person, talking or not, except for "← Me who stops it" 1:04. It cannot be asserted that "I" or "you" is the subject.
I'm sorry if it's already out.
this is very helpful and interesting, thank you very much! do you personally think the subject of the lyrics is "I" or "you"?
thank you!
yoo!! i’m japanese and i understand what you mean very well! i didn’t realize these wordplays, thank you!
@@wetwank
In my personal opinion, the words from 1:11 are about "someone" and mock the unhelpful situation surrounding "I" towards unspecified people (including "I").
Most of the lyrics are written from a third-party perspective, and "I" is probably the subject from 0:44 2:04 to before the chorus.
However, the subject is controversial. I don't know either.
Thank you for your reaction. I hope it helps.
WOAH WOAH WOAH!!! *YOU ARE TOO QUICK FOR THIS??*

@@CinnaAndKuro27 yes very good
i feel like this song is about someone who copes with intrusive thoughts, a common problem with a few conditions(like ocd), by getting really, really high, eventually spiraling into addiction, making the thoughts much worse, ESPECIALLY when feeling withdrawal
hello glove
@@hermia966 hey!!
It's actually about the sagawa case.
@@ivonnesaysmiau ohh that makes a lot more sense
This song is fucking disturbing, maybe, more than Suji. Between in the end we can the peace sign like in Suji, maybe it's connected ? But we already now that Scrumize is with it. Seeing pixelising pictures of organs is just...(I can't say it ! I can't look at it !) Oh at 3:07 you can see "fuck finger" just before the peace sign.
you know what yeah it is a bit more disturbing then suji in my opinion, and maybe they do have a connection, they most likely do it is disturbing, but when you don’t pay attention to the lyrics it’s a really good song.
i need to slow the video to see the🖕sigh
Yoo i didn't realized the middle finger one
i saw it
i saw the finger but I can’t pause the thing
I literally just woke up but what if this song is about a person who is really paranoid and kills people that they think are evil? I saw some other comments in the vid Maretu posted that said the song was probably about cannibalism so what if they're justifying eating people cuz said people were evil?
Hmmm...sounds interesting? 🌸
apparently it's literally based on a murder case where the murderer was a cannibal and killed their french friend but like that's all i get really
@@naturalhundred9439 really?!
@@dandelionns i think
@@dandelionns read a comment that said the censored bits were from pics related to the case.
IMO this song is a criticism of Japan and it's justice system and civilians as well. With the mention of marijuana, which is so criminalized you could be in jail for 5-7 years over just having it. The pics, which im 80% sure ARE the Sagawa pictures, a case where Japan's legal system allowed a cannibal to run free due to legal loopholes of him returning to his country while being abroad in France when committing his crime. As well as, to my knowledge, how bad cyber bullying online in Japan can be. A personal example I think of is a young girl who was on a show and had an emotional moment where she was yelling, she got so many death threats and rude, insulting comments that she took her life. Japan is one of the countries with the highest suicide rate, and while most people think it's because of things like job stress and such, to my knowledge bullying, both online and in person, are extremely bad there.
According to a comment on the original video, this song is (possibly) about Issei Sagawa, a man who killed, cannibalized, and raped a Dutch woman named Renée Hartevelt, and the censored pictures in the video are believed to be Hartevelt's body taken by Sagawa.
This is probably about a cannibal- I saw on the original video that people were talking about it and I’m pretty convinced with the new eng subs + all the images in between the video that look like blurred out organs- we also see that brain at the end. Essentially this is a person who eats ‘low life’s’ or ‘villains’ specifically, so you could call them a picky eater. But in eating these ‘villains’ / ‘low life’s’, I think the video is morally questioning if they are right or wrong because of the line ‘It is clear what is good and what is bad’, since in their eyes they’re doing the right thing by punishing and eliminating evil- but to the public eye they’re a maniac. This song is basically about the perspective of a cannibal on what they’re doing
i hate organs so fucking much but i agree with you although my hands are starting to ache by the thought of it
@@driftydrifter
You 🤝 Me
hates organs
Someone said this is about a drug addict who thinks they are a hero in the beginning of the song they talk about crushed candy and marijuana junk (Cocain and marijuana) they talk about how it’s hard to control their addiction and they always keep an eye out for “malic” and how they stopped a saw from beheading someone after saying how they failed killing someone his delusions ended they eat brunch and they start vomiting the drugs they taken “it’s like a party for myself” because of the drugs they taken they hallucinate they’re thoughts are getting distorted and they are becoming exhausted and “it’s all broken now” saying on how they broke they’re own mind and that they became crazy
Someone already explained it in more great detail then me in the original video it’s the third comment
i dont think its about cannibalism at all. its about drugs
I love how taunting this song is, like a villain who won. Very fun, one of my favorites from MARETU.
TYABK YOU FOR THSI

So far my personal theory is that this song is about a serial killer who kills horrible people in a sick sense of justice, and slowly drives themself insane because of it. I know a lot of people are suggesting that it's about a cannibal as well, but I can't find much evidence. My opinion on the song's meaning might change when a translation is approved for the vocaloid lyrics wiki, but for now that's what I'm going with!
DAMN they released pinku like,, a day ago?? and there are already subtitles. I'm impressed!
Not even a day ago, more like 9 hours ago! Maretu fans proving themselves to be the fastest people in the world

MARETU fans are fast as fuck doing these, jeez
If you pause very carefully at 3:07 you can see the face middle-fingering.
Omgggg i didnt noticed that thx!
Oh dang you do! You just have to pause it at the perfect moment.
Or slow it down
I get a "He Who Fights Monsters" kind of deal from this upon a first listen at certain parts. Like, someone who views violence against "evil" parties as justifiable before eventually going mad themselves and becoming the types of sickos they detest. But I've never been good at interpreting this crap, and MARETU's songs are always infamously, infuriatingly vague and cryptic.
YOOOOO THIS SLAPS

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE TRANSLATION!!!!!
WOAH IT'S ALREADY OUT?? YOU'RE SO QUICK
i love this song AND THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS
someone asked me what the last song i listened to was
you guessed it, it was this-
so now imagine the awkwardness of explaining what this song was
Here is a theory from a not-so-very bright person
My theory is that someone who kills criminals and then eats them. Although they think what they are doing is right while other people find them doing very brutal things. (Yes, basically like a light yagami. Also credits to the comment I saw that said this). After listening to the song I felt the need to find about why they named the song “pink”. So I decided to look up the meaning of pink. It said that pink means femininity, cheerful, and innocent. Not a threatening violent color. Very immature. Made me think that maybe they named it pink because the actions of this person were immature, but decided to twist the definition and made it very violent and not innocent. I have no idea, to me it seems it’s probably more complex and smarter than this 🤷🏽♀️
And pink is a lighter version of red, which is the colour most associated with violence
Nobody:
You making this: I AM SPEED
I completely agree with you

ありがとうございます。
i was listening to this while reading awful hospital and now i can't listen to it without thinking of awful hospital, the pixelated organs don't help at all either lmfao
good translation my dude
My interpretation of the song is someone losing hope to fight evil
Like I feel like it's about some sort of person who fights evil and tries to bring some sort of peace (like a cop or magical girl 😳 or something else) who is first enthusiastic about helping the world and fight back against evil but overtime they start seeing the reality that the world might always be the same and evil will always linger and never leave the world so they slowly lose motivation and hope to even try anymore and maybe even go insane..? Thats just how I see it
I will pretend I don't get it to shamelessly enjoy this bop in ignorance
here ya go theorists
This song is amazing
SO QUIIIIICK omg thank youー 💖
Oh god this song is so disturbing...
...I LOVE IT!

I wouldn’t think someone would make a translation to this song so fast
Wow.
Holy fish this is a bit fast, even i got a whiplash
I personally think this is connected to Suji ane Scrimize (sorry if i spelt it wrong)
I think this song is the abuser from Suji getting tired of the things they've done to the victim. Like all their desires have gone away, but the karma is already catching up to them or they want a new victim.

i feel like this is a song that connects to namida? it has the same theme of ‘killing the enemy’ except this one is where it’s a lot more extreme to the point you Have to kill every single bad person no matter how inconsequential the act. maybe the singer has gone to the deep end
BRO THE SONG CAME OUT AN HOUR BEFORE THIS VIDEO WHAT THE HECK
2:33 When the animation meme starts
THAT WAS FAST THANKS 🙏
Ok so hear me out-
I have seen multiple theories that scrumnize, suji, and koukatsu are linked and i think its true however i want to add to that theory
I will only cover this song so if you want to find the previous theory you could find it in the comment section of those songs
So ive seen people saying pink is connected with suji and it makes alot of sence!
But what happened in koukatsu in the end was the abuser getting killed by the victim. That really left the person traumatized abd after the person killed them they started becoming paranoid and killing people they thought were evil to avoid something bad happening to someone else because they dont want someone else to suffer like they did. This is just a theory i have tho so correct me if im wrong :D
That a good theory

Here’s my probably very bad interpretation on the song lol:
I see it as a person struggling with any sort of addiction (although it is outright stated as drugs in the beginning, this could be any form of self destructive behaviors, like sh or alcohol)
The taunting voice in the second chorus represents the unstable mental health of the person, taunting them for relapse and punishing them for even the thought of it.
The person sees the people who also struggle with similar habits as a disgusting sort of mirror into themselves and chooses to taunt them as well (such as in the first verse/chorus)
The concept of the saw could be an open form of what the person is addicted to
Another thing I noticed is that when the final line of the song is said (now it’s completely broken) a picture of a brain appears. This could imply the person entirely gives up on recovery and spirals into mania that ends up killing them in the end, hence the last WOW before the end if the song.
In fact all of the blurred out images may be pictures of said addictions
The smiling faces represent the person’s desperate attempt at hiding their addiction but in the end they say “fuck you” to normality and open up the path to their demise (very abnormality dancing girl of you)
This is probably all wrong lol
im a sub too!
