I could never afford to buy them but thanks to you I get material at my thrift store I now can make my own. Thank you for helping us. I just got a sewing machine n was making free face coverings for those who asked me. We all help each other it's a win win. Blessings
I just made a set for a tiny bathroom window and loved the result. Now on to other rooms, a valance with matching Jabots in the big window by our dining table and smaller Jabots for the window over the sink. Thanks for a clear and well demonstrated pattern.
WOW beautiful work, Scott! We are finally home owners and I decided to make my own drapes. Not only that I am learning so much from your videos, but now I understand why drapes made to order are so expensive. It involves a lot of work, patience and time.
A quilting trick is to before turning inside out, you set all the seams (pressing on the wrong side first) cut your right angles, then at each corner before turning again fold at a corner one seam towards you and the second seam on other direction to the first seam, then holding with fingers turn inside out and you have a lovely corner! hope that makes sense to you....? Love your video's, I used to make all sorts of window treatments, have the equipment to do it, but no business, and it is something that I love to do, watching you is awesome, be nice to work together on some of those treatments. Thank you so much for sharing!
Arhhh Scott! Your such a fabulous tutor, iv been following you for years ,and anytime I’m making my window dressings I will ALWAYS come to your channel, and get the video I’m looking for watch it over and that’s it , they are done in either a day or 2 depending on what it is I’m doing, they always come out fantastic and loads of compliments from everyone who sees them , you are mine and I’m sure all your subscribers go too TH-camr ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Is it just me or did someone else also felt a kick in the gut when he said "I'm going to throw it away" I was like... What? Noooo give to me I'll use it. Such a beautiful fabric. I love Fabric. Maybe that's why it hurt 😁😌 Also, I feel like men are so good at this type of jobs, straight to the point and well explain. I love it
I have made my first ever curtain using your tutorial and it came out great! I thought it looks hard but its an easy pattern to make.thank you so much for the tutorial
wow you outdid yourself Scott, i enjoyed watchiing a video that i could understand for a novice like me who can stitch and not cut. lol. Great Job surely will try this for Christmas
Muchas gracias, se ven muy lindas y elegantes, yo no hablo ingles, pero con solo verlo le entendí muy bien, las voy a hacer muy pronto, gracias por compartir ... saludos desde México, Sr. Scott
Thank you sir, i will surely make this one for my husband homecoming this 2020 of jan.thanks a lot sir. And i had downloaded this tutorial too. Again, thank you so much for explaining so well...YAH BLESS.
Hi Scott I found your videos on swag & jabots I am so impressed . I have a bay window in my kitchen that is like 1/2 of a hex shape 2 smaller windows on each side of the bigger one I would like to make swag for the center window and jabot on each of the small one my window is recessed so I have to use a rod. how would I go about making this for my window
That's great!! Just wondering if you do any videos with defined, very crisp pleated jabots with swags attached to a board or cornice/pelmet box as opposed to running a road through it? Something you see in old Victorians or French period homes? I don't have a $ 30 - 50 K budget but I want to create an awesome, formal and authentic look that will dress up an old Victorian B&B/event venue that had now way to simple window treatments and needs more of those period details. And any suggestions to glam them up more? B&B guests expect to be stepping into a time machine!! I suppose fringes, tassels, vintage tie--back etc. Thanks again! Ps or how to create the box (cornice) which connects to the ceiling and an ornate pelmet to attack to the top ie: decorative moldings.
I wish u can hang it on the window, so i can see how it look, like how long of swag and how long of tail, how it match w/ window. Anyway, thank you for the free tutorial
Hi i really need someone’s advice i want to make a valance and jabot what kind of fabric is the best to use i wanted to use glazing Will that create a beautiful valance ? Please some advice
I really enjoyed this learned a lot... but why throw it away when you could donate to maybe a shelter or family that may have lost everything in a uncontrollable situation!? Smh
I’m sure you have cut every type of fabric for every situation at the ripe old age of 14 😉. I’m pretty sure you are the type of person who has seen and done everything in life. How do you do it all?
love your video but a did cringe when you said oh its just a sample made you you ill throw it away when done. As a 69 year young women and on a fixed income that really bothered me as material is pricey and it takes me time to save up got things I wanna make but other than that great instructions and lovely curtains
I love how you show every little detail and slowly so we can understand
