@@somejerk1520 How do you reconcile James 2:24 with, for example, Acts 13:39 or Romans 3:24?
Acts 13:39. And by Him all that BELIEVE ARE JUSTIFIED FROM ALL THINGS, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
(The absence of sin is the law)
Romans 3:24. Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
James is not speaking about being our being justified in God’s eyes. He’s speaking of the Christian being justified in the eyes of men when they see, by how we live and love others, that God is glorified, and they will recognize that Jesus truly IS the Way, the Truth and the Life.
In God’s eyes we are justified ONLY by trusting in Christ Jesus for salvation. (Justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus)

God Bless you, Pastor Michael Pearl, Jesus Loves you more than anything for what you're doing here and I can't thank you enough with words, you've truly saved me from the false doctrines that I was battling against for a long time, I was suicidal due to not feeling worthy of God, feeling like I'll go to hell and will never make it due to those church of christ doctrines about works, I'm a sinner but I love Jesus and believe on him to save me, I need to stay alive and healthy for my family and for the lost, I'm not appointed by God to be a pastor or anything but I'll try my best to teach people about Jesus and the real doctrine of the bible. I can see the light of the Lord in your eyes, Michael Pearl, The Goodness of God is beyond anything I've ever experienced and although no man is Good, I see the spirit of God within you when you speak his word and its amazing to witness, you're wrapped in the righteousness of Jesus, I look forward to seeing you in heaven if I never get to meet you on earth

I have been pondering this very question just recently. You have provided a clear answer and understanding and the truth. Thank you so much. However, I didn't know that we are not supposed to allow a Mormon or anyone with a false doctrine in our home. We have a young mad who is 19 years who works for us. He is the most respectful, kind and wonderful young man. He works around our home and we pay him. He is a Mormon. He is very dedicated to his religion and beliefs and he just became an elder in his church. He is so excited about it. He is about to go on a 2 year mission. I have been talking to him and sharing the Gospel with him. He won't believe it. But, I did talk him into reading the new testament at some point. He is supposed to come back over this week to work for us again. Now I am not sure what to do. My husband loves him and feeds him and gives him water. We are prying for him so much. We hate to see this nice young man go to hell believing the wrong thing. He has been totally brain washed by the Mormon church. Anyone who reads this, please pray for him and that he will believe on Jesus as his savior and Lord and get out of the Mormon church. His name is Alec.

Excellent explanation of salvation. Jesus Christ alone. You don’t need a church, a denomination, a Bible, etc., you need only the name that is above all names, the name of Jesus, and trust that He and He alone is Christ and Saviour. The Lord is merciful and kind and would have all men to be saved. He knows our hearts and He knows who are His. Believe on the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved!❤️...good works, and sanctification, and Bible knowledge, and fellowship with other true believers will follow...

    • @TheArtisticGardener777
      @TheArtisticGardener777 3 ปีที่แล้ว

I do believe you need to read from a true Bible though. The King James has been our true English Bible for over 400 years and has been used mightily by the Lord to evangelize the world. You look at the problems of false doctrine in all these different denominations and cults, and you will see false, distorted, changed, and corrupted versions of God’s Word...Catholics, JW, Mormons, modern seeker sensitive/prosperity gospel “Christian” churches using many multiple corrupted “modern” versions of the Bible...Satan has been sly and subtle and has attacked God’s children by getting into the very Word of God! And into the pulpits, and churches, and doctrines, and hearts of man. There is a reason that Jesus Himself warned us not to change His Word...not to add unto it, nor take away from it. The judgement coming is a direct result of this. The name of Jesus alone saves, but He is The Word, so honor it and revere it!!!

Yes, I grew up mormon, even my great grandparents were pioneers and polygamist. I was 100% indoctrinated. I thought I was blessed to be born into it. It took many years and a slow falling away from the mormon church (but feeling guilty about it and thinking God was disappointed in me) and floundering through life confused and borderline athiest until one night I prayed and begged God to tell me the absolute truth because I so wanted him to be real but I didn't want him to be mormon. Shortly after that, a preacher like you taught the gospel in such a way that I was literally in awe. Wow! My whole life had been a lie. God is amazing and much bigger than I thought. I could go on and on about him. Jesus is no longer a side story but the main event. I was given certain discernment where I could literally feel the difference in the spirits and the mormon church is controlled by a deceiving spirit that feels "good" but it's gross compared to the true mcCoy. I just can't stand that spirit and I recognize it when it's around. Anyway, I can look back and see the many clues along the way. The gospel is simple but it was very very hard for me because old beliefs had to go one at a time with new beliefs in their place, line upon line, precept upon precept and God has been very patient with me. If you're a born again Christian, you'll not be able to stay in the mormon church because it makes you incredibly irritated and sickened because there is zero truth in it.

In most cases I agree with Michael. However, on this teaching I understand his standing. But, in a whole one has to do more than just believe. If true then the Devil will be in heaven. Without any doubt we agree that will not happen. I am not talking about a works based doctrine. I am truly talking about personal relationship with Jesus. It takes a total commitment, renewing one self daily and obeying the two greatest commandments of Jesus. That truly takes more than just believing.
I could add more but you get where I am coming from and where I am going.
    Just my thoughts!
    Yours?

I feel like god has been humbling me like crazy lately. Even though most might think the last year and a few months have been terrible, I’m thinking it might be the best time in my life ever. I found god this year. I am looking at myself and realizing things I want and need to change about myself, mostly due to screwed up perspective. God is working through me since I came to him and went on a rollercoaster ride. The ride continues but I decided to give god the track and guide me because I have no answers and know I will be lead on dead end rollercoaster with jumps and hoops of fire. I like the narrow path, it’s better for humanity in whole! Love you all brothers and sisters, praise god and praise the body of god. AMEN.

I'm far from Michael Pearl and this question is 3 years old but to answer your question; the verse is just saying that christ rose again from the grave. The "again" is just referring to the fact that when a human dies, they lie down and never get back up again, but christ did. So that's what the again part means.

When Christ died, he died for our sins of the past, present and future. Sins of commission and sins of omission. We are sometimes not completely aware of our sin and so when people say you have to repent of every single one then in order to get into heaven then doesn't this sound like work? Plus how do you know that you have repented enough or for every single sin if you are not even aware of the sin in the first place? I ask for Jesus to convict me so that I will know of my sins and therefore come into agreement and confess, ask for forgiveness but he is the one to help me repent/change. Hello keep in mind he already knows what sin I will commit in the future but his blood already covered them at the cross. So after we are saved we still are not perfect. We strive to Not sin but we inevitably will sin and because of Jesus alone we will be welcomed into heaven.

Do you obey the law? It sounds like you do not at all.. you are not saved by grace alone, we are in the grace period but thats not how you are saved, you still have to obey the law.. not 1 jot or tiddle is gone from the law until the earth and heaven pass away has that happened yet? When yahusha said it is finished he meant animal sacrifve and the priesthood not the law.. if we are to walk like him i hope you honor the 4th commanment sabbath day an not sunday sun worship. Most of you are goimg down the wide road

@@TheKingreturns2030 the whole world believes like you do: be good, do good works and you will go to Heaven. Everyone believes that. That is the wide road.
What other religion out there teaches faith alone in Christ alone? That's the narrow road.

@@TheKingreturns2030 What you’re proclaiming is not the gospel of Christ. The law shows us how sinful we are and how we NEED THE SAVIOR, Whom died for THE FORGIVENESS OF ALL SIN. Jesus fulfilled the law on our behalf….IF we believe on Him.
I pray you’ll look to the sacrifice of the perfect Lamb of God to save you instead of yourself, whose very best attempts at keeping the law will never meet God’s standard of perfection as a means to attain eternal life.

Wow! I just read the comments below! Brother Pearl, I feel you are correct. Some of the people need to explain Paul's statement about a believer and sin. It is not me but the sin within me. Jesus realizes we are human and we will continue to sin even if we believe Jesus died for my sins. If that were the case, I would continue to sin and hope that I had the time to say "I believe Jesus died for me" just before I died. Jesus took on the sins of the WHOLE human race. He didn't take the sins of only those who believe in Him. All you have to do is believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and you will be saved - PERIOD!
Keep on preaching the Truth Brother Pearl!

Thanks Mike. You got me with that last example. That was good. If we could pick the best 5 min, we could not make it in. But praise God we have a forerunner. Amen. That was a good word.

Thank you for this video. I do have a question though, regarding works. What about "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

    • @JT-lz3mu
      @JT-lz3mu 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I think what the Bible is saying here is that the will of the heavenly Father is that you trust in the finished work of Christ and not in your own works. That is the only way anyone will enter the Kingdom of God.
      -just my thoughts on it-

There is such a polarized difference between the "saved by works" and "once saved always saved."
I certainly understand that we are not saved by works but I question if once saved always saved, though.
I always feel convicted because although I know and believe Christ died for my sins, I feel that through my disobedience, Christ will say "I never knew you..."
"You stood me up on every Sabbath."
"You did not put me first."
"Your lips spoke of me but your actions denied me."
"You did not recognize or appreciate what I have done for you, to provide and protect you."
"You believed in who I am and what I have done, but didn't act upon it."
"Your actions, at times, steered people away from me and I had to work at bringing those people back."
"You're too focused on the frivolous temporary materials of this world and not focused enough on the eternity thereafter."
"Your mind... you're thoughts... you are fortunate your brothers and sisters cannot read them."
"You were too half-hearted in your efforts."
He did his part, but I didn't do mine. I feel that my part requires repentance and I need to work hard at walking the straight line and that grace is only for those who make the effort. My understanding is that obedience is the greatest form of worship. I feel it's like an insurance policy. Christ paid for it, but there are stipulations in order for me to take advantage of it. I guess it comes down to what it means to "believe". Is it simply the understanding (hearing) of it? Or understanding and acting on it.
I don't want to "believe in vain".

Hello, Michael has a free Romans download on his website nogreaterjoy.org that you might find helpful. I will post the link here: nogreaterjoy.org/audio/romans-audio/?.org&ministry_slug=27
He also has a download/MP3 called "When You Don't Have Faith, Believe God" nogreaterjoy.org/shop/when-you-dont-have-faith-believe-god-download It is a very interesting study on the differences in believing and faith.

Hey brother, don't beat yourself up, I do the same thing and if you truly in your heart believe in Jesus, the son of God who died for our sins and rose from the dead you are saved, confess your sins and ask for forgiveness, repent, (change your mind about your sin ) and the Spirit does the rest, it's a journey brother it doesn't happen overnight, we are constantly on the journey and we are made righteous through the blood of Jesus ,God bless and peace be with you
