    Those CF Moto's are huge bang for the buck. A breath of fresh air in this era of outrageously priced side-by-sides.

    The clutching is easily fixed with a quick secondary re-clocking. CFM sets them to the lowest setting to start with. They do this with all of them. They become a completely different machine/animal when done. Also the 500 engine is still in the "Bug-clearing" stage but by 2017 will be where the 800 is now.

      How do you re clock the clutch?

    • @d3br34k5

      Absolutely elaborate and sell your shop secrets for some cash. Everyone wants this mod. In 2019 here and I just drove a machine that needs clutch work.

    I sat in a 2019 zforce this afternoon. At 6’1”, my left leg would be extremely sore by the end of every segment.

      There were no comfort issues in the uforce, for me.

    I have a z6ex witch has a 625cc and I agree when you need the power it is a bit sluggish but where I ride it always has enough to get me up and over anything yes I don't rocket right up but it has never let me down

    I had never heard of a cfmoto until this past weekend a guy rode with us on a cforce 500 and it went everywhere we went and pulled my king quad out when I got stuck

    I wish you could do another long term review and see how it fairs after long term use.

      My guess is the 2024 and 2025 models would do much better 8 or 9 years later than this 2016 ZFORCE would today.

      @@dirttraxtv you think they're using much more high quality materials now than they used to back then?

      The units I've tested the past couple seasons seem to be much higher quality than previous years.

    I've had one for a month or so and my bro-in-law as well, it's got few issues- going back in for the water pump ceramic seal to be replaced on mine, blowback is an issue on the z500 which does not yet have a fix. My bro-in-law had almost a cup of oil in his air box after only driving 200km. I feel like I saved a fare amount vs the rzr 570 and it has a lot more upgrades as well.... I've got 500km on mine now and still cautiously optimistic.

    It seems that the HP for the zforce 500 is the same as the cforce 500. The zforce weights about twice as much. So is the zforce under powered or the cforce over powered? Thanks for posting.

    I love what cfmoto offers but still can't get past the current lack of dealers in my area. I fear a breakdown and needing to tow the vehicle several hundred miles to get it repaired.

    The 500cc engine is a single, not a twin.

    • @nmkawierider

      Yep, it is a single.

      And its way too expensive to boot. CF moto doesn't make a reliable product. I see way too many of them for sale on craigslist with almost no miles on them. People getting rid of them because they're junk.

  • @billdeem2917
    @billdeem2917 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    A parallel twin?

  • @markodragisic7363
    @markodragisic7363 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Are U sure that the engine is paralel twin, in my country is one cylinder engine...

  • @91tyoung1
    @91tyoung1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    The 500 is not a parallel twin cylinder it is a single cylinder. So my question is does it pull a load well in a 500?

    They are selling loaded 800s for 10500 out the door...from what ive researched they are everybit if not more reliable than the rzr...performance lacks a bit but with an extra 4 or 5 grand in my pocket i think its close enough

  • @Infamouscoma885
    @Infamouscoma885 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    What is the point of having a 500 in a utv in men's really I would never buy one since it weighs a ton more then a atv but had the same hp and cfmoto is horrible they are always getting returned because of issues or lacking Hp

    • @gregrowe1168
      @gregrowe1168 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I see lots of them in "almost new" condition for sale on craigslist all the time. Its not the lack of hp, its the poor reliability that make people want to get rid of them. Dealers are few and far in between if you do need service. And if the dealer 50 miles away from you (on average) is a poor dealer, then you're going even further to get decent service. Spend the extra 2 grand to buy a Rzr or Wildcat and avoid the hassle.

    • @saludfinanciera7479
      @saludfinanciera7479 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      A ton?? No. Wrong. The zforce 500 weights 450 pounds more than any atv over a 500cc engine. But it is still heavier than any atv, anyway. It's not just gonna be slower than an atv, the gas consumption is gonna be higher. But, you are safer and more comfortable in a cage in an utv. Its just matter of preferences.

    • @Jimmyjamesgarage

      Why should I buy the 500 over the 800. What advantages does the 500 have other then price. Spent 2 weeks in a pair of 800 trails. They had tons of power. Is the extra purchase price worth it????
