There is antenna on ebay that cost 5 to 10 USD i have it in my house it gives 74 channel and all works it have to be on the windows get that one better
But the TH-cam ad assures me a former cable company technician "in the know" worked diligently to create a magic device that "unscrambles" the cable and satellite signals for no monthly subscription fee! 🤣 It's amazing that we've been using frequency and amplitude modulated electromagnetic waves for a century, yet the majority of people have no idea how all this works. If you're a math/engineering nerd, look up the amazing engineering and math that went into squeezing the Chroma information signal into the traditional black and white luma channel of the OG NTSC terrestrial broadcast TV. Those were some freaking giants and geniuses! Well, in the end I'm shocked! Shocked, I tell you, to learn that this is nothing more than a simple antenna in a plastic shell, LOL. Loved the demo, btw. More people should watch this.
Great video and demonstration. It really showed the true colors, I mean pixelating of this new "amazing antenna. I really hope that prospective buyers watch your video before wasting their money. But honestly, WHERE CAN I BUY YOUR PAPER CLIP 😂:D ??!!?
I appreciate you actually reviewing the product and not just reviewing the commercial as a scam. Trying to help a friend find a decent HD antenna to use in Western NY
Ok so it doesn't pick up the "cable" channels, but I live in a small town about 70 miles away from a major city with local (ABC, NBC etc.) Channels, how well would it work to get those or is there a better option?
So you have the 4K HD digital paper clips. It is nice to know that Malwart stocks them. A couple more points: Those converter boxes often have a better tuner in them than a TV set does. On many of them, you can get a signal meter function by pressing "info" twice. Watching the signal while you try different bends in the paper clip can allow you to get a better signal. Also, I suspect the cable of the amplifier box on the wavemax picks up stations about as well as the wavemax so it may not even be a real amplifier.
LG and Samsung-branded television sets have sensitive tuners that are more capable of pulling in weaker and more distant channels, similar to the tuners in those digital converter boxes.
Got an ad for the race halfway through this video. Seriously considering buying…a paper clip. Thanks for actually taking the time and spending the money to do a full review.
1. I didn't show ATSC 3.0 stations because the demographic that is targeted for the WaveMax ad probably doesn't have a TV with ATSC 3.0 support. Showing ATSC 3.0 stations would also complicate this video a lot video more, and especially when considering the demographic, it wasn't worth it. 2. Yes, I did test WaveMax and a paperclip in Western New York and South Florida with ATSC 3.0 stations. Those ATSC 3.0 stations were outliers. Regardless of antenna type (WaveMax or paperclip), and regardless of whether or not there was an amplifier, the ATSC 3.0 stations tested (WNYO, WTVJ, WPLG) all came in perfectly fine. I'm not surprised, given their respective configurations.
Thank you, in the past I have also purchased one of those flat stick on the wall antenna's which are useless. I notice there are no PayTV channels either, they claim you can get cable TV for free, NOT SO.
I remember my dad bought one of these antennas and he hooked it to 50 foot cord and whipped it in the tree got so tangled. It’s probably still there this day.
I bought one and sent it back and they have not sent my refund. They want me to kept and they would give me $37.50 cause I paid $75 Australia . Oh by the way I did not get one extra channel . Got any idea how to get my money back?
look, that suction cup wouldn't stick to a window anyway, I've no idea why you are bagging the guy when he is actually showing how shoddy the product is and doing a public service, yet you focus on the "greasy" suction cup? ok champ
Now I am in no way trying to defend a scam, but I would like to point out you proved that the antenna and booster both work better than a paperclip at least. Am I missing something?booster+antenna was 30 channels and less pixellated. Booster+paperclip 19 channels. I’d say that former NASA engineer knew a thing or two about antennas.
It might be a good antenna, but they are advretising that you can view all the pay channels for free on it, which is an obvious lie. Why don't they just advertise it for what it is?
Its a complete scam, have you visited their website where they list Trustrate as a review platform that doesn't exist, he may know a thing about antennas and he certainly knows this can not hijack signals as they claim.
This is not a antenna,,is a piece of crap, the small outside antenna you showed in video hooked up probably would of scanned in around 90 or more channels in south Florida,Miami and west palm beaches channels as well.
You said, "This station is abnormally strong in the region right now"... but... practically every channel pixelated without the amplifier, and there was far fewer pixilated channels WITH the amplifier. It strikes me then that you were so focused on making your point about the Rewave being a scam (which it is) that you unnecessarily sacrificed impartiality in order to make the point.

Unfortunately, these retailers carry out false propaganda and greatly exaggerate the acceptance range of antennas and the acceptance capacity of antennas. If you need the real situation of the TV antenna can communicate with me. I will communicate honestly. And provide more high-quality and cheap antennas.
I believe this, I do, however, not once do you show the cable going from the antenna to the port, you need to show the whole cable length. The cable could be going off the back of the cabinet and into nothing and you could have an antenna not connected to anything. Not that I would every buy that crappy thing anyway though haha :D
Yeah that was a $1- co-ax pal adapter you showed near the start, very common in australia. We get ads for that rewave antenna just watching ytube. As soon as i saw it i thought a coathanger would be better.

You didn't try the tv without the paperclip so cannot know what the paperclip actually gave... TV on its own may have given the same amount of channels and thus the paperclip gave nothing...
I enjoyed the cross references between usability between the antenna and paper clip. Some of the TH-cam videos need policed as I have seen several building useless little gadgets claiming being able to receive world TV channels implying satellite type TV. I've got an ad of this device again, while watching this video. Lol. It's all so tiresome mr Ted Kaczynski.
And just about every channel is some junk advertising.
Hahaha while I was watching this video a TH-cam ad for the wave max came up 😂 😂 #bunk #garbage
Same here ;^)
fucking Awesome
I didn't see no TNT or ESPN or any semi premium channels like the NEWAVE ADVERTISEMENT SHOWS.what a piece of crap.maybe i will go door to door and sell paper clips and my pitch will be guaranteed to match Newave in channels.!
And most of those free channels IMO are garbage anyway.
Its a scam, be careful
