Awesome video Jesse, just booked accommodation for myself and my daughter to go to the Scottish Enduro race this year. Fingers crossed it goes ahead and all you guys and gals can make it over.
Crickey. Looks like there are tonnes of trails there. Must be easy for newbies to get lost lol. And how awesome were those riders on the final run getting out the way so quickly.
Jesse, been training for my first EWS and wanted to know if you have protips for training your lower back so that it doesn’t get tired during long descents. Doing progressive longer, more physical trails, core, and posterior chain work is definitely helping, but of course there could always be more to learn. Thanks!
It sounds like you're doing all the right stuff! It's just more training, once you get fatigued into a stage your form starts to falter and that's when you start to compensate and your lower back takes more load.
Not like I am a pro, but maybe experiment a little with different bar heights and or twisting the bars back or forwards it is amazing what 10mm of bar height feels like.
Thanks guys! I’m definitely going to try a higher rise bar too. I went from flats to SPD which raised my seated and stance height a bit also and didn’t compensate the front end for that. Happy training!
''It's a bit wet... So I'm Gonna start slow'' You were kidding, right ? 😂 Your slow is 150x faster than my ''race'' pace 🤪 But it's your job indeed so I'm just glad you share your daily routine with us regular/random ''riders'' lol. Just a pleasure to see how fast, Clean, secure and fun at the same time your lines are. 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼
This is sick, I love your videos! I would like to know something about your gopro setup (mounts, settings, ...). I know that if your footage is great, it's because you are an extremely good rider, but i would really appreciate if you share some of your useful experience! How about making a video on it?
@@JesseMelamedMTB thanks for your reply. Interesting i ride once to twice a week and wash my bike with a hose often, im going through bearings every 4-6month was wondering if that was normal....
I’ve ridden most of these trails a few times! But often when practicing for racing we don’t know where we’re going so you have to interpret the trail as fast as you can
Love the insight to the training here Jesse, how often are you on the bike training? I'm still a beginner but finding it hard to recover as fast as I'd like for trail riding laps
Depends on the season, but as summer is coming I am on the bike 5-6 days a week, but only 2-3 of those days are 'training' sessions. With full length efforts like this video or intervals, the body can't really handle much more than that and it just becomes diminishing returns. I'd say if you're a beginner just try and go on longer and longer rides when you can while listening to your body when you are tired and need a rest.
Just imagine dropping into a trail and then turning around to see himself right up behind you, I think I'd fall into that berm just like that lady. Unreal scenes.
That last lap down was insane how much endurance you have to be sprinting for so long all over the place from start to the very end. Also, it must be crazy being a regular person on the trail and seeing you pro riders fly by at 20+ mph. I'd just walk it home after that lol.
i love how you go totally nuts speedwise and still take your breath to ask people if they are ok :-)
Nothing should get in the way of being a nice person.
@@JesseMelamedMTB Wise words, Jesse!

Such a good stage here!
You are just a legend at this point...Commentating while climbing....Respect level 5000
That was tough haha.
It’s crazy to think he’s just going to get quicker. That said I’m more focused on his line choice, he’s like the Lomachenko of EWS👊🏽
I do know these trails pretty well so not that much more speed to be gained here.
@@JesseMelamedMTB True, but overall - we’ll see.
love those long raw videos!
Glad to hear! I can definitely do more of these easy.
do it! please!
you dont even have to comment anything, i just love the continuous riding on those stage-like runs

So cool to see how your lines and scrubs change when you go from playful to racing. Its like a totally different skillset picking lines.
Crazy eh? Never raced half Nelson and I definitely rode it a lot different than normal.

such sick riding bro, appreciate these great povs to show just how fast you guys actually are
Glad you like them!
Thanks for that video! Coming from soCal, makes me more envious of the trails you guys got up there. Fun to watch!

I paused the video so you could breath! Incredible how you can talk and make such effort at the same time
Thanks! I wish I could pause and breathe.

Man that is RAD how you keep it together on that slickness!

are these trails reality? damn ! i have to do a trip in this place! cheers from Italy man..see you in Canazei!

I wouldn't be able to ride these trails half as quickly, but they do look so fun to ride.
They are fun at every speed!
hi Jesse , do you run any insert in your wheels? i run in rear but thinking about trying on front as well.
Soo fast, completly insane!

Sick riding as always. What's the first trail that you drop into?
Wow mock Squamish is right. Insane speed top to bottom. well done
