I want to say thankyou. I made this for my son for his 5th birthday. He was so excited and kept saying "the cake is awsome daddy I love you" don't get a better reaction than that. Keep up the great work :)
ROFL bad! I so do enjoy them...! i don't know if you know this about me,,, but I have an unhealthy obsession with cooking shows. I absolutely love watching you make amazing cakes!!!
Made this today for my fiancee for his birthday. All I can say is THANK YOU! It came out awesome thanks so much for the easy to follow instructions, He was amazed at it, he didnt even want to cut it cuz it was too pretty. well we ended up eating it but the pictures speak for themselves. again thank you and keep these videos up!
A quick tip, mixing the food dye with equal parts of vodka will stop it melting the icing. The alcohol evaporates off so it's still safe for kids to eat. :) Great video!
I love your videos! I am planning on making this cake for my hubby's birthday and this is the first tutorial that I have seen that makes it look easy to do. Thank you!
Thanks for posting this! I used it as my aid in making my sons Superman cake. It didn't come out as awesome as yours, but got many compliments. I dyed the inside of the cake blue and red and yellow frosting, looked great when served. Can't wait to try your TMNT cake next :D
U might be a cake designer trying to teach people how to do stuff u do but when I was a child I used to see this as entertainment till this day after almost 9 years I still think its entertainment I was 5 when I started watching now I'm 14
I will definitely use this to make my son's FIRST BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!!! So excited! Thank you so much and it was extremely helpful as well as 'user friendly'. I love how simple you made it! Never thought of putting it in the freeze but I bet that will make it so much easier!!! :D
One way to get a bright read for the S-shield: instead of painting the "S," you can put a good glob of the dye in the fondant before you roll it out. Just knead the fondant until the color is uniform. Otherwise, awesome vid! :D
thanks so much!!!!!!!! i just printed it. what size cake pans did you use to accomplish the cake? i does not seem big so if i do a party size of 16 will i need to do 2 cakes????
I'm totally trying this..but one question, can I use the Wilton red icing paste instead of liquid food coloring?? Because they fondant will end up being ruined with liquid and it will turn out a mess and gooey.
I will be attempting to make this cake and this is my first time using fondant.I was wondering if you could tell me where to find the stencil.Im not artistic inclined. Any direction would be appreciated! BTW this cake looks amazing!!
Hi Choppa, is there an advantage to painting the fondant red as opposed to colouring the fondant itself. Have just began using fondant to cover cakes and am yet to get the hang of it.
Hi Valery Okeyo .. i would say there is more of a disadvantage.. i only did this because red fondant wasn't available to me at the time.. and liquid food colouring just made my fondant sticky.. It is far easier to just use red fondant if you have it or can colour it with gel colour
Well I'm in Kenya and there is no ready made fondant at the stores so l have to make my own. But I use gel cause it doesn't make the fondant sticky though its rather expensive :-/
You always put frosting underneath to let it stick to the cake and also to make it take good because fondant isn't that appetizing. If you're asking about the colors I think he just used the left over red and blue and let it mix together since no one was gonna see that part
Awesome cake! definitely going to try someday ^.^ by any chance, could you show us how to do a Super Mario themed cake pretty please? :) with Icing on top ;) thanks so much
did you make your own template or did you find one that was already made? I want to make this for my dad's bday this weekend but I'm concerned that if I try to create my own template it's going to come out awful. I've been looking for something I could print out and use but I haven't found much of anything.
what size is that cake before you cut it? i'm looking to make this cake and well, (not ashamed to say) i'm a newbie and would like to know how to start it off.

I'm totally trying this..but one question, can I use the Wilton red icing paste instead of liquid food coloring?? Because they fondant will end up being ruined with liquid and it will turn out a mess and gooey.

that was delicious!!! ur best in cakes making!!!
Loved this... so simple... the only thing I didn't like was that the icing on the outer border looked pink.
aww
YUM!! SuperYum!! Looks Awesome!
Your cake looks great! Are you sharing your sponge recipe?
awesome cake! just a question, what size of a cake pan did you use to make this? and also, what was the size of your template sheet?
This is so great! Do a Batman cake to, please!
Dude it looks soooooo good
Very good work. How did you create such a perfect stencil?
Thanks that really inspired my aunt she LOVES Superman!!!!!!
You always put frosting underneath to let it stick to the cake and also to make it take good because fondant isn't that appetizing. If you're asking about the colors I think he just used the left over red and blue and let it mix together since no one was gonna see that part
Is the size comparable to a six inch? I'd love to try this! Love it!
looked completely blue to me lol! great job!
Hi what icing did you use for the border of the cake?
Oh my Jebus!!! My husband would love this cake x3
Man. Your sponge looks good. Can I have a recipe for that?
simplemente tus pasteles son maravillosos :D Felicidades!!!
The template was very nice of you.. Thank you! :)
Where did you find the stencil to use to make the s??? I really wanna make this for my sons birthday!
Isn't it easier to use red fondant instead of using white and painting it red? It's a good option if you have some leftover red though :)
This is exactly the groom cake I want at my wedding....exactly as I've described it. Wow.
I was just wondering, b=why is it called a crumb coat? Awesome cake!
You are amazing 😃 .. Wonderful job .. u are pretty talented 😊
Check out one of my latest cakes! Taz Devil! th-cam.com/video/JAwTevc_5p4/w-d-xo.html
No, i can't tell you sizes.. the point of the templates is the size of the cake depends on you! and how big you print the picture.
That was absolutely amazing and yes I am a Superman fan I loved the coloring and where do you get the fondant
does icing work really well when applying fondant over it? or do I have to use a whipped buttercream?
love the cake by the way. want to make this for my sons 1st birthday!!
Nice....looks pretty easy!
Who would wanna cut this Masterpiece?
Awsome cake I tried it and it was yummy.

did you make your own template or did you find one that was already made? I want to make this for my dad's bday this weekend but I'm concerned that if I try to create my own template it's going to come out awful. I've been looking for something I could print out and use but I haven't found much of anything.
Maybe you should use a darkest blue, but it still a PERFECT cake! :D
even tho i mentioned it?
what size is that cake before you cut it? i'm looking to make this cake and well, (not ashamed to say) i'm a newbie and would like to know how to start it off.
basically it locks in the crumbs on cut sides of cakes, so that crumbs don't go into your final layer of frosting/fondant.
cheers champion! :)
I remember watching this when I was a kid.
hahaha thanks mate! shoulda made it for you!
speaking of Superman I saw that movie and it awesome and always awesome cake
You put the entire cake in the freezer or just the yellow cut out?
It looks great but b4 u put the blue fondant on...what's with the frosting and stuffs underneath .-.
Then*
Gawd, I'd love to see the insideof this!
