    I was 1 year old when they race been there many times still today now that is a dirt track

    I really really wish Xfinity still went to these tiny little racetracks

      I'm not sure the track could support an Xfinity race today. It's also dirt now. But there's no reason SoBo or Nashville Fairgrounds couldn't return to the schedule.

    Thank you so much for posting this! Cool to see how they ran the Cup and Busch races on the same day, and so near each other. I remember this day vividly. I was 8 years old and visiting family in Faith, NC. We watched President Bush start the race at Daytona in the morning and saw the King lead the beginning laps. Afterwards, Bush flew on Air Force One up to North Carolina and visited the massive 4th of July parade the town of Faith always holds. The Marine One copter carrying him from Charlotte's airport flew right over my relative's house!

      but crashed with Mike Potter at Turn 4 on Lap 195 with 5 laps to go NASCAR had the race ended Under Caution Steve Grissom took the win
      At Volusia County Speedway won the X1R Firecracker 200
      This track usually runs as a dirt track

      my point was how fast those yellows were delt with. modern nascar can learn from this.
