So not synthetic at its core at all, the raw materials used are just not that expensive, and the craftmanship is just phenomenal. Also Encre noire is not supposed to be 25$, that is the price at discounters, on Lalique's website encore noire is at 100$ for 100ml.
Lalique Encre Noire is a beast! A dark beast. I love it! A blind buy that I don't regret for a second. I would be curious to see people describing these perfumes using one word only. I wonder how many would describe it as 'dark'. Maybe you could try that one day.

Its so surprising that they actually smell very similar, i have tested them today side by side and on a test strip they are very similar, though nobody in community mentions them to be similar.

On the other hand, TF Oud Wood strikes a perfect balance for me - it's luxurious yet versatile, making it effortless to wear anytime, anywhere.

It's more of a versatile every day scent. Encre Noire smells like a mix between a forest after it has rained and an old orange you put in a bag but forgot about. Not as versatile for me personally, would only wear it for hiking or jogging on crisp colder spring/fall days. I can see it being worn (by men) at a dressed up formal business type of event too.
