Mega Blaziken is the only real threat. Blaziken with Speed Boost is good but I'm pretty sure Greninja can win 1v1. Blaziken would need to speed boost to out speed, so it would protect turn one or die. A sub 3 attack Greninja would just kill it turn two.

shofu's favorite starter is generation 4's fighting fire monkey who also happend to have one if not the best stat rating for its theme, chimchar has one if not the lowest defencive stats of all starters, but its also one if not the fastest most attack most special attack of all of them, this makes it possible to take advantage of special moves and attacking moves and since my chimchar happend to have the punch power up ability called iron fist and chimchar is the punching pokemon who can learn pretty much most of the punching moves 'correct me if im wrong' but this puts the pokemon on a very proud spot amongt the most chosen pokemon if you choose the smart way, well if you like strong pokemon chimchar is the way to go, many would probably ignore this factor concidering it comes from 4 generation but i dont care, i loved 4 since it was the first pokemon game i ever played and love it for its contents, i have grown away from that one cuz its graphics is underated and it doesent have the nice new features, this is why my most requested next remake it pokemon diamond pearl AND ESPECIALLY platinum since it was the first i played, no one else seem to care for platinum which just makes me even sader that so many people dont like my favorite pokemon game... and oh, my second favorite stat wise happend to be turtvige cuz it can learn the move earthquake it looks kind of nice has good stats and is overall a decently good starter if not the best grass type starter, when it comes to piplup not so much, my favorite fire starter is fennekin cuz its a psychic fire later on and has nice attacking stats and turtvige as a grass starter, than we have mudkip cuz of same reasons as before, it is a ground water type and since surf is a very usefull move and since the pokemon is the only pokemon that can take out the rock type gym in gen 3 that further improves the early gameplay, i just love mudkip, however i disagree on that generation 3 is a favo, in any way, i dont know why, mabye i just happend to like the new theme of generation 4 none remake better, if a remake for gen 4 comes out, i will litterally buy it as soon as i hear about the english version is out, and also my favorite pokemon atleast my most memorial and for the bird types is staraptor cuz of its nice attack stats and it can learn close combat which counters rock types and others which makes the move so usefull overall, also luxray with the dark cybernetic look of the mega evolution looks awsome, these 2 pokemon deserves a mega evolution just cuz of these 2 purposes, cuz i simple love the 2, i can agree that luxray isent the most usefull of pokemon but whatever, i still love it. ahh, and i shold not forget to mention magmortar and electrivire, i want these two to be able to fuse together or/and get a mega evolution cuz i just love them, i will probably not get to use them ever concidering they are trade only pokemon, thats what we have fanmades and hacks right :D? i love thos aswell
