Thanks for watching! I hope this video can help you if you're visiting this part of Ontario - and like I said, there are so many spots that would be great for a weekend getaway.
The 2 most must see places of Eastern Ontario are number one the village of St-Albert where Cheese Curds and Poutine were invented and number two is the city of Clarence-Rockland the most French city of Ontario.
Clarence-Rockland has some of biggest and best looking Churches in all of Ontario. Its a bit of an odd city of multiple small villages and the city of Rockland. It has almost a hundred restaurants and a lot of big stores for a small city. Has a marina, a museum, about 6 schools and lots of other things like a brewery and such. You really should visit and my favorite part is all the stores and restaurants are two parallel streets and the schools are tucked in the residential area.
Sounds like a great place! I might be able to add it to our itinerary when we head to Voyageur Provincial Park. Seems like it's only an hour away. Thanks for the suggestion and info!
I still remember that burger in Port Hope. It still makes my mouth water. Those falls in Ottawa also look amazing. Nice to know there are a lot of choices so close to Toronto.
My Dad visited Ottawa a few years ago. Had nothing bad to say about it. I think Kingston would be my speed. The history from the old penitentiary would fascinate me. Excellent video, thanks for all the info.
So many great options! I would love to visit all these places whenever I make it to Ontario. Everywhere looked so picturesque! Thanks for sharing these amazing places.
That is one good-looking burger, Wayne says. Have you seen the movie "It"?? 😳 Wayne has been to Kingston! At 5:04, Wayne went on a Le Boat tour with his buddy of the Rideau Canal system for a week! He loved it... You had April at 40 wineries!! 🍷
I love that you do so much local travel and show various possible day trips! You are making me want to visit Canada soon! I especially love your footage from 1000 islands, it's definitely on my bucket list.
These are all great stops. I would love to visit the 1,000 islands area. And that waterway where prohibitioners used to use sounds fun. And omg a winery in Prince Edwards County! Great trip ideas!
You have covered so much and looks like a lot of fun😎 Really like how the city signs all leave out a letter for a person to replace it like the 'i' in Kingston and the 'T' in the Ottawa sign.
I didn't even realize it was a thing with the city signs but there were a few others too that did the same! So they are definitely catering to people like me who just can't pass up a photo opp 😂
We'll have to visit Ontario. I haven't been east of Calgary since I was 4 years old. Needless to say I don't remember that trip. This was a great idea to package these together.
Super cool! Never been able to experience Canada enough! Love that this is a series and can’t wait to see what is next! Great info and recommendations. Nice work!
We have never visited Canada yet, hard to believe but its true! I cant wait to visit Ottawa, I will have to re-watch all your videos before so. Wine tasting idea triggered our most interest ;)
What!? That needs to be fixed, you should add it to your future travel plans, especially since we just opened up to American travellers! And yes, wine tasting is always a good idea ;)
wow these are just too amazing places to be, I should have been to these amazing place when I visited Canada. Truly love your vlog such a vibes and a great treat :)
You guys are really selling us on Ontario 😄 Honestly never really thought about spending an extensive period of time here until we started watching your channel! All great weekend getaway ideas - I think Ben and I would especially love #5. Prince Edward Country. So pretty 😍
This is a great compilation of some of the day trips you guys have taken recently, and super helpful for future trip planning. I love the Kingston sign where you can stand in as the "I", I would for sure want a pic there ❤ I think I saw Ottawa had one too :) We would definitely want to check out the breweries and wineries 🍻 The travel options in Ontario are far greater than what I ever knew about :)
Great video...really appreciate the work that goes into making these kinds of videos, we know how much time it takes going through older footage and searching for clips that are ‘just right’ 🙏💪 I also like how you linked all the videos you’ve made of each place, the perfect tour guide 💯😊
Thank you! And yes, compilations are so much effort but worth it for anyone who gets some travel ideas or inspiration from them. I personally love watching top places, tips etc. videos :)
Prince Edward County would probably stay on the top of the list. This is an area I would love to explore. 2 nights are not enough to visit all the 40 wineries, otherwise you would probably not remember some of them, haha 😊
Is 1000 Islands where the salad dressing comes from? 😂 jw… Ottawa is definitely on my list to visit some day! Am curious, do you have any suggestions for good areas in Ontario for hiking and fly fishing? I feel like Prince Edwards County might but was curious if you have any other intel! Thanks for the video.

At 0:34 looks like you skipped out on Clarence-Rockland. Worst pat is the map you used had the name of the city on it. Its directly East of Ottawa.
A future trip when we are in the area!

There's lots to see and do here for sure!
They are all wonderful destinations! I love the dunes at Sandbanks and the 1000 Islands Cruise. We took the one from Rockport, it was beautiful!
Sandbanks is an awesome spot and I really love the 1000 Islands area too! Thanks for watching.
Wow! you have an amazing channel! We also vlog a little in Ontario but we hope to travel all around very soon! Keep up the great videos! Cheers!

Super cool! Never been able to experience Canada enough! Love that this is a series and can’t wait to see what is next! Great info and recommendations. Nice work!
Thanks for watching! Yes there's a lot to see and do here, and some pretty under rated cities to explore.
Klingston looks gorgeous. 19 museums and historic sites? Wow! Taking the ferry to the 1000 islands seems to be a fun thing to do! I wouldn't miss it.
Yeah there's a lot there! We had 2 nights in the area and didn't get to see even half of the attractions.
These are some great little towns to explore. We haven’t been to Canada yet but we definitely want to one day to explore! -S
There is so much to see across the country - I'm sure you'd find some great attractions to see!
Thanks for sharing the info & lovely footages
Cheers from desert country - qatar🤣

My favorite 1000 islands. That would be cool to do

Honestly, we never considered Ontario a "place to go" before, but since we've been stuck here we've actually found some really nice places to visit!
@@TheAverageTourist it is nice to go places you wouldn't have considered before, and even better when they surprise you and you end up enjoying them!
