    You explain everything clearly so that we viewers get the bead on what's happening. Thanks!

    Great videos! You have an exceptional ability to teach what you are doing. Thanks and I hope you continue to make videos for us gear heads.

    Fantastic video Peter. Being a mature car enthusiast I really enjoy watching you Work On the Old V8 engines. I can't believe how anybody could give you a thumb's down.. They would have to be deeply troubled people. Your work is brilliant. Keep it Up.

    Another thankyou Peter. Learn so much after each video. Have an XR Ute that has had a 302 put in and put on lpg. Really only learning about all this and would rather be working on a 6 Cylinder. Seems to be so much wiring everywhere, and so many that go to nowhere. Enjoying the tinkering around, and enjoying the whole restoration. Thanks again

    Sure beats the Old School Mallory Twin Pont Dizzy's all us young blokes used to use back in the day! Love to see some of the young guys today trying to get a set of points out of Ford or Holden Dizzy without dropping the damn screw! lol You soon learnt the trick!

    Nice to know that the pertronix setup is the same for a 351 as it is for a 390.

    Peter, your uploads have been fantastic to watch. I've watched nearly all your videos regarding the XW. Very informative and entertaining.

    I have installed a 302 in a 78 f100 it had a 300 inline 6 in it.
    I'm having trouble with starter alignment .i am an appliance tech and this motor project has been a new learning curve .
    Is there any special shims for a 3 speed transmission 302 starter?

    Is the hot wire resisted for points? Would running the big distributor cap be better

    I plan on swapping to a basic Pertronix in my Falcon 260 V-8 in a Model A. Not sure about the ignition hot and want to bypass the resistor wire. It has a modern switch.

    Thank so much Peter for this video. I actually have a 351W, and have the same ingitor system. (About 2 years old)..however now I have no spark. What is the best way to check the ignitor in order to determine whether it's good or bad? My coil ohm reads 3.0 ohms which it should....I couldn't get a good secondary reading on the coil. Thanks again. (I have a 69 Mach 1)

      Check the ignitor for signs of life. Go through make sure you have power to everything important especially when cranking. if all else fails try getting another unit or reinstalling the points, if you get life you may be able to chase out the issues.

    I wonder if it would work on a marine reverse rotation engine (Ford 351W) ?

    Hi Peter, DId you make your own engine stand? I would like to make one. Did you make a video of the engine stand or have a drawing I can use. Thank You

    • @PeterAndersons
      @PeterAndersons  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Oscar, I made two... one for me and the other for the school I work at. I based it on the 'Easy Run Engine Stand' which is an American product... I made mine in heavier gauge steel and used Autometer gauges. I didn't really do any drawings... just decided what I wanted and built it. The only modification I need to do is to lower the top bar where the radiator is mounted, cheers.
