- Back Kick + Axe Kick + Tornado Kick (360° Round Kick)
Kudos to the referee for rolling the KO'd dude and recklessly dropping his head on the canvas; a head that was previously struck with a deadly kick.
A Tornado Kick generates more than enough power to cause cervical fractures and permanently injure the spinal cord.
Two things:
1) This is the coolest knockout in the history of pro fighting, BAR NONE.
2) If the guy wasn't dead after that unbelievably awesome kick, the ref cettainly finished him off.

Those 3 kicks together in the order that he chose to execute them was amazing, and he looked so calm and effortless especially with the axe kick to tornado kick at the end of the combo. Just awesome, he totally got in that dude's head with the spinning back kick to the mid section first. When he went to throw that spinning tornado kick the guy would obviously think it was just another spinning back kick to the mid section and flinch through muscle memory to try and protect the stomach, thereby leaving his head totally open and even jutting forward like it was on a silver platter for the tornado kick.. Really high level play making from that fighter.
Reminds me of a title defense fight I attended to watch my buddy try and hang onto his belt when we were in our 20s. My friend went pro fighting in a local MMA circuit that was also televised from casino arenas, and I was able to make it to about 3 of his fights live in person at the casino. Fast forward, after a streak of wins he ended up winning the title for his weight class (I think Bantam or featherweight? They were under 140lbs I believe), and now I was attending a fight night where he was defending his belt. It was an absolute war, round after round, trading back and forth with blood everywhere, and then I noticed my boy starting to land a few good stomach and lower shin kicks on the dude as they were getting more and more gassed. After about 6-7 of those types of kicks my boy had memorized exactly how the dude's mid section would flinch away from the incoming kick, his head would drop, and both arms would be occupied trying to protect the stomach area. Every time it would be the same movement from his opponent, so in the last round, just when we all think this fight is going to a decision, my boy begins to throw what starts out looking like just another mid section kick like all the previous ones but this time he kicked higher right at head level and the dude literally leaned his head directly into the blow as his guard moved to protect his stomach area. This f*cking shin kick to the head connected so perfectly that the dude hit the ground like a dead body and started having a seizure, no bullshit at all. The poor guy ended up having to have his body and head strapped down in place on one of those flat hard gurneys that prevent further neck and back injuries, and then they rushed the guy off stage to the waiting ambulance while the dude was still out cold and not snapping out of it. I'll never forget that fight night man, even if it wasn't my boy who just delivered that kick to defend his belt (which clearly upped the hype train), it still would have made us jump up and go nuts. It was probably one of the most savage head kick KOs I've seen both in person or on the UFC, for real.

I love the way this guy does that kick. Lots of people do that same kick but this guy reaches further with it. It almost looks like he is going to do something with his right leg as he lunges forward with it and then his big left leg comes flying around really far ahead. Any blockers that go backwards are going to get hit by this.
The Internet Killed Music Most people would tuck the right leg in to their body when performing this for more direction and stability but he doesn't which means he has more height in his hips.

Great kick. It surprises me though, because two people I practiced Tae Kwon Do with had a better Tornado than this. Probably the difference of being in a fight and being on the mat for one guy. The other one, a girl, was on her way to the Olympics, and was cut out because of "excessive force". She kicked the opponent and broke some ribs.
I'm from a relatively small town, I wonder how often this happens.

The ref could've killed him turning him over like that. Your supposed to move the neck with the body at the same time let and certainly not letting their head slam again. Only thing that looked right was raising the legs but I could've swarn that's more for jiu jitsu when someone gets choked out, cause that's how you get blood back to the brain. Crazy stuff

Adam is a two-time world champion in kudo (2009, 2014), world champion in kickboxing (2005), he also won the world cup in kudo (2011) and holds other titles as well.
He probably broke his foot on that kick lol still pretty awesome fighter though TKD rocks!

That back kick was lethal, and most importantly, VERY PRECISE. If you learn martial arts, you'd know it takes quite a bit of practice to be PRECISE. Especially on human skin, since it's not very flat.
I'd say the axe kick was a bit too high, could have been grappled, but otherwise was very effective.
The tornado kick is actually in my opinion one of the best kicks. It's pretty easy to learn and master, can be extremely effective (more than fancy kicks like jump reverse) and easy to aim, making it useful for striking pressure points with extreme force. This guy used it to its fullest potential.

lol no BJJ does, if all you have is tkd and you go into the ufc, you will get smashed. Taekwondo is definitely legitimate but boxing, wrestling, and bjj are huge factors in mma as well. That kick is devastating if it lands though, but makes you vulnerable because of how much energy you are using to throw it and most likely landing without your guard up. That is why you don't see it in the UFC.
