Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure based on the novel “Jurassic Park” by Michael Crichton. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.

That guy is Jake Johnson. His role is still not known but they think he's a tech guy in the movie. In an interview he did he said that some of the characters like his know Jurassic Parks legacy and love it so they pay homage to it or something like that. I saw Jurassic World opening night with my best friend and I can say without a doubt, this is now one of my all time favorite movies. Seeing this movie was really important to me because I didn't get to experience the first jurassic park in the theaters so, this was my first time seeing a jurassic movie in the theaters and I will never forget it.

I was raised in the 90s (born in 84) and grew up watching movies like Jurassic Park.
In 2015 I felt very nostalgic when I went to the cinema to finally see the park open to the public, and what a park!! The shots showing the wide panorama and beauty of its facilities were something that really impressed me, in addition to all the scenes with threatening dinosaurs, like that gigantic aquatic monster.
Menacing and nostalgic atmosphere, with gorgeous cinematography and that classic soundtrack from the original movie echoing in the background, what could I want more? And then there's the cute dinosaur Blue and her siblings, who are trained by a park worker.
Obviously it doesn't reach the level of excellence of the first one from 1993, but it's a good movie too.
Pretty cool that the Asian scientist from the original is in this! Sorry I'm ignorant and don't remember his name.

TrenTonStackZ Animatronics are dangerous. Remember in the first movie they mentioned when Pirates of the Caribbean messed up the pirates killed people? CGI is much safer for the actors and the endangered species in the movie.
Fox1 Actually the line was: 'Yeah but John if Pirates of the caribbean breaks down the pirates DON'T eat the tourists!' in reply to John saying that when they opened Disneyland nothing worked.
TrenTonStackZ There's a shot of an animatronic dinosaur in the first trailer. it's an Apatosaurus or some type of Sauropod, but it's on the ground and the people are looking at it, one lifts up its head.
For me this is the best movie of 2015.. I love Jurassic Park trilogy and, to be honest, all i wanted from this movie is not to suck, but it was actually a very good movie :) Chris Pratt is really lucky with roles in past 2 years..
I love this movie. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howards characters make a great couple. The music 🎵🎶 of Micheal Giacchino is legendary. I'm so glad that Steven Spielberg was part of this adventure Movie. I'll never forget when I saw the very first trailer of this movie. It was Thanksgiving day my grandma's and I watched the first trailer. Ah, good memories and such a great movie 🎥🍿.

Jurassic Park and Jurassic World are my favorite of the 4. Chris Pratt did a great job too! My favorite scenes on this one are the raptors running next to the motorcycle and, of course, the last scene with T-Rex and Blue.

I just came out of the movie theater and saw Jurassic world. It was freaking unbelievable! This movie is absolutely incredible. I highly recommend it to anyone who love the original Jurassic Park movie.

Yoububehahaha The original is from a time where film makers were aware of who fake CGI looks to the human eye and tried to hide it in rain, darkness, unfocused shots and other things. That's why the T-Rex in the original still looks great (the Brontosauri not so much). Filmmakers somehow forgot about that over the years and now think they can through everything at us without it going noticed....doesn't work!

Sigh.. This whole "bigger and badder than the t-rex!" thing is so dumb.
The reason the t-rex is always star of the show isnt because its the biggest baddest dinosaur, its because its the most iconic dinosaur almost anyone can think of.
Its like trying to replace Wolverine in the x-men with someone who is just a stronger wolverine... It just wouldnt work.
If anything they should be keeping the T-rex in the big-baddy role that it belongs in, and be replacing the raptors with more advanced breeds instead.
Those are the dinos that are more popular for what they can do than simply what they are.
I mean seriously.. Like, one of the main things about the raptors if how they got smarter and smarter, and gaining more and more birdlike featurs.. What if instead of a t-rex replacer we got raptors who had started mimicing human speech "just like a bird"!

This movie was the first and last good movie of this series.
Best JP sequel by far, IMO. I love how it humbly admits that it can't outdo the original and tries to do its own thing. It's fun to watch and there are plenty of great little nods to JP. Plus, its awesome just seeing a fully complete Isla Nublar Park. By the way, to anyone that complains about the characters, there are still more watchable and likable than JPIII's cast.

Exactly. There are very few Dino movies (unless you count Gozira, but that's still few) and we need more! Hell the amount of excitement I had when I found out the Dinobots came out in the TF4 movie can't even measure up to this! howlingarmadillo An intelligent creature like the Velociraptor would actually catch on to food dependance very quickly and develop arelationship with the trainer almost instinctively to avoid energy expenditure on strenuous and time-consuming hunting. Remember that these are primitive creatures that are early on the evolutionary tree which makes them inefficient in areas such as metabolism.

So much needless hate for this trailer, all the people saying the CG looked better in the first film are clearly too young to remember it or never saw it the CG in this film is far better than the original, however the original had a lot of animatronics because at the time I'm pretty sure CG was actually more expensive. Unfortunately it's very much the other way now, making huge robotic prop dinosaurs would take like 50% or more of the film's total budget. Swear some people just jump on the hate train without even thinking. Hell what do I mean some.
I appreciate practical effects more. BB-8 from Star Wars being a prime example. CGI would only be acceptable to me if it was flawless.

Someone finally has some sense, man. Lol. Hating on something you haven't seen yet is so dumb.. And half of them are too young to even know the movie.. I was terrified when I saw the first one, but then it grows on you. I kinda like the aspect of the new one.
Jonathan Garrad CGI is good IF it is done correctly. That is the correct texturing, correct contrasting, correct brightness etc and most importantly, believable. I am old enough to remember the CG from the original JP1 and JP2 and do you want to know the only difference between the CG in those compared to modern CG from a movie goers perspective? I slight increase in definition. That's all, the problem now is that because CG if HEAVILY used in films it makes things less believable. And when I say less believable I mean things like fall distances that would be fatal or cause injury, the lack of gravitational force, lack of movement restrictions - such as how easily things in CG can twist and turn regardless of what 'restrictions' there are supposed to be in it such as bones or metallic frames - and most importantly of all, the lack of environment and atmosphere that you can feel from a film is lost when CG is heavily used in a lot of modern films. A perfect example of this it Star Wars 1-3 and 4-6. 1-3 feels more believable and more as though there is physically a Star Wars Universe there. 4-6 feels as though there is always green screen and lacks the feel that the originals created. Sadly, robotics is more expensive now than CG and it's simple why: easier to do and there are less professionals in the robotic field - when it comes to the movie industry - working than graphic designers. And no I am not on the bandwagon, if CG is done CORRECTLY it can make the film -or series - great (Godzilla last year, Avengers, the Iron Man Trilogy and Game of Thrones as some examples), my issue is that CG is far too heavily used and takes away from the feel of a lot of films.

Dmauin Moses Eh, JW was way less severe than Terminator, other than confirming that the Indominus Rex can communicate with other Dinos, it wasn't anything to make you go "Oh My God why did you put that in the trailer!?" I still can speculate on which dinosaurs was chit-chatting with Indom-R. The T-Rex having tea and crumpets is a good visual.

This looks like it could be the Aliens to the Jurassic Park franchise. Like how Aliens was to Alien, this seems to be completely different than the original, but still keep the overall feeling of the first. And like Aliens, this seems to be taking a more action-packed turn to the series. That's perfectly fine with me; I feel we need something different than simply people surviving with dinosaurs on an island.

When I watched the movie for the first time... I think it was unfair for Simon Mosrani (CEO of Mosrani Corp. and owner of Jurassic World) to die in the Jurassic World film... I mean they didn't let John Hammond die in any of the Jurassic Park films, so why must Mr. Mosrani have died in the Jurassic World film, it was his first appearance in the dinosaur them park film series... And I feel like his death was unnecessary and that he should have been spared and be seen in the next sequal/s

The marketing for this film was truly amazing, it didn't reveal everything, but showed just enough to grab your attention, we need modern trailers to be more like this movies trailers
This is the best film of them all,i saw it three times the first week it was out,got my dvd today,8:00 a.m.
No this movie is a 6/10 at best, doesn't compare to the original, slightly worse than TLW, and better than the third but thats not hard.
it's not the best of the 4,but it's still very enjoyable..i liked the flying birds in JP 3 [near the end of the movie]..none are really awful to me

If so, this means that audience are getting used to mediocre movies with time. This is nowhere near as good as any of the previous 3 films and hardly one of the best of the year. I don't understand how they got such a big opening week-end. I suppose the trailers and marketing are responsible.
Jean-Francois Joanisse it was a bad year for new releases for one,people wanted to see this one...so the big box office opening...I liked the film,i'll go see anything with dinos in it ...read new finds in the papers,mags,yes I love dinos..there's lot tp pick on in this film..trained raptors,the military use of them,the women in the white dress never breaking a heal or getting mud on her dress,even when she knelled down in a plot of mud...yeah,the 4th best of the series...2 more coming,i'll drag my butt to see them..i hated all the fast food tie ins

I LOVED this movie so much. I recently saw it with my friends. Everyone's reaction inside the movie theater was really positive. Lots of cheers. I thought Jurassic World was fun and exciting and had a nice mixture of everything. It's a gem of a film for all ages and both men/women. There is action, humor, adventure, family, romance, etc...Chris Pratt is perfect in the lead role. I also enjoyed Jake Johnson's performance. I loved every second of this movie and HIGHLY recommend for everyone to go and see it. It's breaking all the records at the box office for a very good reason. It's an awesome film. 1,116,357,925 thus far at the box office says it all. I'll most likely go see it again. I cannot wait for the sequel!

And also They made a new dinosaur because they were like "Hey let's make a new dinosaur because we have no better ideas like try to find other real dinosaurs, so let's do it!" Tho I really like the indominis Rex, I feel they try to take a new turn and I bet it's not gonna be that bad, and if it isn't that good we all know it's better than Jurassic Park 3, that movie was horrid.

All I want to see is the T rex killing this new fucker in animatronic glory. And people kept saying that the cgi would be better closer to release but honestly it still doesnt look that real compared to the orginal, smaller budget maybe?

I saw this movie at the big screen yesterday. And yeah it was EPIC. The visual effects simply amazing. You will have this feeling of adrenaline rush while watching the movie. And mind you it's mind-blowing action scenes. RECOMMENDED to WATCH on IMAX-3D. It was worth it. BEST summer movie of the year.

I watched "Jurassic World" yesterday and I loved it. I thought I wouldn't be able to get past Chris Pratt as Andy from Parks and Recreation, but I did. He's awesome as an action hero. Fun movie!
