Well presented with timely advice. Persistence, determination and focus on the goal is prerequisite for saving culture. I use money market as my emergency fund and if none I draw a fixed amount in mid-December for Christmas expenses. My question is how do I invest in bonds eg infrastructure bonds. Keep up❤
I've learnt alot today I saw this in Lyns then just searched for you from that, becoz I am that person who has been saving without a plan but I have a good discipline in saving
"chamas" are for social purposes, especially kule ushago to keep people together. There comes a time when you need people more than money. I agree with you on money market funds. keep going this is good content.
I joined Chama for social support. These women have been there for me after the birth of my children. I sickness and have supported me even after losing a loved one. We also introduced table banking where I've been able to grow my business. So for me, chama is working for me.
Hi. I think she meant the merry go rounds where you just contribute money that doesn't earn interest and give to different people for whatever time. Chamas, on the other hand, those that you contribute and can take a loan of money higher than you've contributed is ok.
Thank you so much for this video. There is always something to learn from you. Today my biggest takeaway is to stop relying on motivation to get things done and I intend to apply that even to other aspects of my life. Please talk to us about bills and bonds. Thank you.
Thanks so much Susan for this great insight. Watching from Nigeria. Saving with purpose but no interest is what I've always engaged in, in merry-go-round. Though the year is gone now, but this is an eye opener on what to work with in 2025 by God's grace.
I must say thst i love this gal for opening our minds financially and at the same time i hate when she directly speaks about "myself" 🤦. Saving randomly thats exactly me though no steady income. I have learned something to push me in future. May God bless you coach susan🙏🙏
Great presentation, I've been learning a lot. For your points, kindly do give us numbers e.g 2nd reason, 3rd etc. one tends to get lost everytime you say another reason

I have a chama thats 10,000 every month. it has helped me so much. we are 12, but this time im going to drop but put a standing order to go to my money market fund.
It's better to quit because it has disadvantage of someone in the group taking off with the money after she receives her share. The world is full of wicked people. A friend can turn to be a beast. Be careful.
Hello Coach, I want to inquire about something, where do we categorize sacco savings, savings or expenses. Will the 20% of savings and investments be included if it is classified as savings? Kindly guide me. Best Regards

In Zambia we call it Chilimba. Of course ut has helped me but I have learnt that I have to invest in money market fund which can give me interest or help me build up the money.
Allow me to respond based on te information I received from my Central bank visit yesterday. No, you can't top up. Instead you can use the top to invest in another treasury bond or bill.
Thank you for mentioning chamas. If they are not for investment, I am not taking part. I have always viewed chamas as not profitable because of the amount of time and money it takes to make an amount that you can make in a month or two.
