My sister got me into fighting games early in life. My favorite was Street Fighter 2, and now 6 is out and I’m having a blast. She passed away from complications during her pregnancy a few years ago. Gotta remember where I came from, a 5 year old kid playing with his teenage sister Saturday mornings. Now I’m 33 and I play because she made me a fan, and I cherish those memories.

The first time i went to pick a fighter on the demo this banger started playing and i just stayed there appreciating it, it's BEAUTIFUL. It really made me cry, because it's well made, has good lyrics and because of all the work and passion Capcom is putting into this game, AND i get to play it because the game is optimized?! It took them this long to go back to their roots. SF3 was iconic for a reason, not just for the really high skill ceiling, but also the street theme, and they finally embraced it this time after SF4 and SF5 went off the rails in that regard.
@@X1erra I wonder what the reason for that was, maybe Ono wasn't a fan of hip-hop and didn't really like that aesthetic for Street Fighter, but it's really cool to see that return in the art style and music in a modern way for the series. There's just an energy to this game that I like so much compared to SFV and SFIV, not to mention I love the mechanics, designs and stuff added to this game

It's april 2023,i'm 96kg and i'm at my lowest point. Nobody respected me back then as a result and i sucked at even speaking to people. So i started to do some exercise at home,just to lose a little fat. I ended up enjoying it and became a habit.
Pressups,dips and squats,no excuses and no bullshit,every single day. By july,the fat started to go and by december,i was not only 83kg,but also a hella more confident in myself. I introduced an outdoor workout outside using dumbbells and kettlebells. By january,i was still the same mass but way more defined with nice,strong legs.
It wouldn't be for this song,my weight loss journey and path to change wouldn't be possible,and i'd never be motivated.

Everyone's music taste is different, personally I like this Character Select theme but I remember a time everyone hated “ Gonna take you for a ride ” Jazz music in MvsC2 and now it's the most recognizable character select theme in fighting games.
I think sooner or later people will grow on this song, it might not be better or perfect but I can tell it's different and experimental like Old Capcom.
this music is superb just as it was all the music from SF3 second impact and third strike, SF6 follows the same vein and the music so far is amazing, on the other hand the "pseudo jazz" music from MvsC2 was just plain shit, repetitive, dull , and out of sync with a fighting game it was horrendous

Music is really good at setting the tone for a fight. I'll say, I think it's really funny how Capcom really went all out on the game's visuals, only to see Ryu's arm clipping through his sash.

So glad that Capcom went out of their comfort zone with this. You can see the big difference with this and SFV. It feels like a real sequel instead of SF4.5 again.

This is a more Ryu theme than Ryu's actual theme in game. I wish all the songs had this much heart and hype in it
This song is about being on the come up and taking what you hustled for. Thing is, this no longer applies to Ryu anymore. Ryu is not the world warrior trying to beat the man to prove himself; Ryu IS the man to beat to prove yourself. That's why his theme in 6 is different and fitting. He's on top of the world, the big man strolling around the city, because he is the master now and no longer the student.
@Stryx_ Flame Ryu's almost there but he's not a master yet. He surpassed Sagat, Bison, and Gen, but he still hasn't won a match against Akuma. He just still has that vibe that he still hasn't peaked yet. Even in his gameplay he can't charge his fireballs as fast as Gouken. Right now I say this song fits him, but in SF7 when he's an old man probably not.
Sadly, the main theme and select character theme are the only good themes.

I always loved Third Strikes character select theme and even though they could of tried to be more like that for the sake of nostalgia I'm more happy that they went in a different direction, the idea is there but the way its being done is much different and for a good reason. SF3s select theme fit the era and game perfectly and i think this done does as well. its a meaningful step forward from the past while keeping that spirit alive that allows both the songs to thrive as individual expressions of their games rather then an attempt to just try and recapture lighting in a bottle.
