  • Cavalry is a new player in the world of motion graphics! Think of Mograph but for 2 dimensions! It's that great! In this video I'm going through my experience with the beta and why I think it has the potential to be the next big thing!

    I’d love a fresh look at this, considering integrating this into my motion design workflow. I primarily work with adobe and blender, would love to move to affinity, calvalry, and blender

    Very nice video, amazing gradient effect, it would be very nice to have a tutorial showing how to do this effect in Cavalry.

    Will you be able to use your own assets, like raster and vector drawings? I've not seen any videos that use it in a more traditional way. I mostly make my own drawings move inside AF, but looking for something else.

    I was hoping this video was older simply because of the issues and limits you were speaking of, but this is very exciting to me, even though I've only tinkered a bit more with motion graphics in the past (though I do have a near professional experience in AE, a lot of it was focused on roto and tracking). I have hardly any experience in C4D and none in Motion. I hardly have time to play around with mograph AND when it comes to wanting to create cool gifs, I like the idea of creating them via creative coding. But THIS? Seems right up my alley. Since this would just be a light occasional hobby, I'm not going to invest in or pirate the typical programs. What I'd REALLY like it to have is MIDI/OSC control so that I can map my external hardware controls to various parameters and then record them in realtimew in the timeline. the closest I have to that right now is creating patches in Max/MSP/Jitter which I do own and have experience with, but most of my experience is limited to the Max part and its limiting ES5 support. Once out of beta I hope they keep their price point fair for light users like myself. Thanks for this review. Cheers!

    how do you set up the file to fit Instagram posts and story?

  • @micheloo
    @micheloo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Actually, you can use the same falloff for as many behaviors as you want.. you just connect your current falloff to the falloff field of your new behaviors.

      Dimitris I was just about to let you know this as well! In addition to that option, you can use an animator or null, or even one of the basic value behaviors as an adjustment layer that you connect all of them to. Great video though thanks!

    As a demo, impressive. But nobody could possibly do what you just did by watching your video. You need to teach simple things. You say connect this and connect that but you don’t really show how to do that. We really need to get back to the basics before you move on to more complicated stuff.
