Turning the bell around also makes your body an amplifier. A metallic coat might help. 🍧Got one and my NUVO Clarinao is going to be here next week.

Saw a dude on another video doing it. The song sounds fine but a few of the notes are modified because of the Jsax's more limited range compared to an alto or tenor

Sorry, i dont really get the "from middle c to g" saying. How many tones can I actually play with it?

You can play a chromatic bottom octave, C to C1. Then, by opening the thumbhole, you can get another chromatic scale from C1 up to the G above. Actually, I can get G sharp, but disappointingly, no higher. This is a pretty poor performance. I'm tentatively enlarging the thumbhole at the moment (That's how I got to G sharp). I wonder if we can reach C2 ? - My shawms have a much larger thumbhole and they will reach that top C and higher.

@@and7barton -- The range is C4 - G5 (or alternatively written c1 - g2 or c' to g' ' (one-lined c to two-lined g)), isn't it?
