totally agree,it was '89 i was 8 years old..happy days :D here in Spain the model was a computer with cartridge and cassete option to play with it i never finish the game,always till the last stage then run of of time,afterwords....nice and gently punch on the keyboard...ahhhhhh! the 80's :D
@@nidrisis7838 ouais pareil et la musique de fin. On pouvait faire defiler à l'infini en restant sur la ligne de départ après la qualif. les petites boules tournaient à l'infini sur le circuit, jusqu'à remplir l'écran :D :D🤣

First game I ever played, on a Amstrad 6128+ I never did manage to get past the first stage of lap 3. Memories of turning a corner and getting closer and closer to the left side until I hit a sign and the cars flips in the air, or getting frustrated at going in a tunnel and potentially either a car driving under mine or hitting a car causing the game to freeze. Especially worse happening later into the game.
Same processor than the average Amstrad 464 or ZX Spectrum, General Instruments AY-3-8912 chip (3 stereo synthesis channels). The only thing that the GX4000 has, more than the 464, is a DMA.
@@GenMaster on the pure quality of music and sound, I would disagree with you. It is great concerning the link between music and "animation", but weak on the side of possibilities of making new sounds of better quality. Still, you can't barely hear the differences with the older soundchip. Maybe it sounds more like the Atari ST, but the ST at least had already a DAC in 1985. Weak innovation for 1990.

Pour la musique synthétique, la GX4000 et l'Atari ST ont le même processeur sonore, l'Atari ayant juste la version japonaise de Yamaha (YM2149), copie du processeur de General Instruments AY-3-8912 présent sur les Amstrad et les Spectrum.
@@triton4541 personnellement je trouve toutes les plates-formes intéressantes, jeux d'arcade, consoles, ordinateurs 8bits, 16 bits, cartes son PC, il y a des classiques sur chacune d'entre elles.

This and "Barbarian" were the first computer games I ever played. Using only the keyboard, there was no mouse.

Fingaz Mc Most people only had that game. Shame the Gx4000 and Plus models never really took off.

Creo que el burning rubber salió solo en cartucho para un Amstrad 6128 que traía disquetera y cartucho.

Not by a longshot, since the ST doesn't have DMA, which the 6128 Plus/GX4000 has.
And neither does the c64.
