Coach, Absolutely love your videos, the fact that you don't just talk about X&O's, but about theory and philosophy. I'm only a youth coach and have been one for 9 years, trying to move to the high school ranks this year. I've always pressured more when my opponent is inside their own 30, trying to get a stop, but insure good field position, I pressure when they are inside my 30, from 30 to 30 I usually use a lot less pressure. When I pressure when they are in their own 30 i usually have zone coverages behind my blitzes, more of safe blitzes, where inside my 30 I will use man pressures more. Thank you Coach for taking the time to share your knowledge and love for the game.
Great video coach! You have got me hooked! Starting my first year as a Varsity DC and you have been a great reference; thank you for taking the time to put these video's up.
I'd say it's not so much the "percentage of them scoring" and more about the fact that the defense has 80 yds of field to cover when the offense starts on their 20. As they get closer to the red zone there is less field the defense needs to cover and can allocate more bodies to be more aggressive. It's more about space then percentage.
Thank you so much for the videos. These are immensely helpful. One question that i have is where would you suggest i go for beginners reference. I am a new coach and my knowledge in many areas is limited. Many videos and articles i find have terms that i am not familiar with as it seems to be more geared to intermediate and higher coaches. Where do u suggest i look to get a beginners knowledge on many coaching terms and techniques that is common in football?
this was a really informative video. One of your best.
Thank you

Edward Chang those facts are 100% true, but you have to consider the risk reward of certain pressures based on field position
Good point..also Game Situation,Time..Matchups

Good day Coach, great video as usual! Quick question, what software do you use to build your playbooks?

Malik Epperson search basic football terminology articles
Unless your Don Brown. Then you just play man free and 0 no matter what and blitz the hell out of the other team.
Certainly looks that way sometimes
