In 2002 I stayed with some Thai friends in Khamon and the beach is pritine and the locals are friendly. If you want to see Thailand before tourists overpopulated it, this is a good place to visit. Loads of inexpensive and delicious seafood and the surrounding scenery and Thai-style homes makes it worth the little bit of extra effort to get there.

Jessa D You can hire a local taxi from downtown or rent a car. Both options have reasonable price. Khanom has a beautiful clear beach. Not crowded and the price is good!
